Thank you for your review. I'd like to do some explanation. I suppose you have installed the latest firmware for the adapter and correctly set your camera, i.e. focus point size set to medium size and only central 7x7 focus points were used.
The key of AF accuracy is to use PDAF instead of contrast AF as those lenses were designed for SLR. Unfortunately, X-T2 can only do PDAF under +0.5EV or above. In contrast, Sony A7R3 can do -3EV. And on X-T2 only the central 7x7 focus points support PDAF. Thus, if you use the wrong points or the lighting condition isn’t good enough, the results may be poor. That’s a limitation of the camera rather than that of the adapter.
The good news is X-T3 has much improved PDAF capability. It can do -3EV now and all the focus points support PDAF. Please watch this th-cam.com/video/heG3JpmxL-g/w-d-xo.html. when using EF lenses both AF-S and AF-C performance are much better on X-T3.

fringer I’m on the fence about the adapter. I really want to use my Sigma 18-35mm with my X-T3. Do you have an evaluation program?

@@kuliatv if you already have the sigma and the xt3 , I think I would recommend it , .. 'ill be doing a video on that combo soon , but so far i'm liking the way it works together , AF is much more accurate and consistent compared to using it with xt2

Pretty honest review. I'm also on the fence about it. I own it but I don't love it. For little to no movement this is pretty good. Even in good light it hunts sometimes (not all the time). Overall the product is hit and miss. If you are using quality glass like the Sigma 18-35 or the Canon 24-105 then it produces gorgeous images. This adapter just requires patience.

Thanks for doing this review. I’m on the fence with the Finger adapter myself.

The sigma 18-35 is notorious for back and frontfocusing inconsistently. Had 2 copys on both a 70D and a 760D. Both lenses missed all the time. Both went back to sigma.

Thank you for sharing Randall, i'm glad i don't have that problem LOL, i recently got my first digital camera (Fuji X-T2) and i'm only buying native (XF) lenses.

thanks for watching.. Native is the way to go .. especially with fuji offering so many high quality options when it comes to lenses

On a side note, today I downloaded the Lightroom trial version to see if I like it, I never did any editing before. I looked on you-tube for videos on learning how to use it and as I’m sure you know, there are hundreds (if not more) of “how to”. Can you suggest/recommend a simple video showing the basics?
      Thank you.

The native glass is the primary reason I’m on the Fuji system, but there are a couple gaps in the lineup. The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 really shines, and Fuji doesn’t have fast long glass. The Sigma 18-35mm was glued to my Sony FS5 until I sold it recently, and I’m hoping to make it work on my X-T3.

I seen plenty of reviews saying it works well

I use the Fuji 50-140 and 56mm primes for my portrait work using my XT2 and XH1. That is why there isn't too many third party lenses for Fuji system because their native glass is that good.
