I wanted to ask what specific and brand of oil do you recommend for my 530dx f11 n57d. My bmw mechanic puts the 0w 30 oem oil but I've seen slight oil consumption. Very good video by the way👌.
Service gearbox!!! I'd change fluid every 35k miles, and filter every other change. At 100k miles and 20 years my fluid was dirty, dark and black. Filter and fluid full service is too much of a hassle. Changing just fluid is very easy. The filter is not as important on the gearbox as it is on the engine, as it doesn't filter out the very fine material.

Whats your opinion about castrol 5/30w M o shold i change 0/30 M .It runs good with 5/30 after 90 000 km , sevicing about 12 000 everi time

As I said in the video, I don't recommend OEM engine oil. Either Motul 5W30 X-Clean (because of the DPF) or 5W40/5W30 AmsOil

BMW are only concerned about the gearbox lasting up until the warranty period ends.
Just drill a drain hole and tap it 😊
I only use Liqui Moly motor oil
