Read my full review only at Simple Flying: simpleflying.com/virgin-a350-economy-review/ I'm cooking up some great trips to go on this summer. Where would you like to see me travel to, and what videos would you like to see? Let me know by replying!
I spent 6 weeks going around Hong Kong & Thailand this summer so if you're heading that way let me know and I can throw some good tips at you( put it this way we did not backpack it ;) ) and I can firmly recommend Bangkok Airways absolute pleasure to fly with. If you're sticking closer to home then tbh there are few places left in Europe ( both EU & none EU countries) I haven't been so will be more than happy to spend some time with you sharing thoughts on some of the more unusual places to head to and what to do when you get there. Hit me up here or Insta: SilverInSix as always happy to help a fellow traveller especially the guy who was the 1st ever aviation reviewer I ever came across on YT.
Always good to see an economy trip, though I know it is hardly a joyful couple hours. I always travel economy, happy when I get the empty seat next to me. I do enjoy your "bucket list" flights too, keep up the good work.
Would love to see you travel in Africa Paul and try a few of the local carriers such as Ethiopian Airlines, Air Mauritius, Kenya Airways or Royal Air Maroc.
Thank you for the shout-out Paul! :) Was really nice to have dinner with you in New York! Looking forward to bump into you again somewhere on the planet...
Seeing you fly economy again felt like a big refreshment after many business class reviews. Do more of that. Also, i am hoping to see you on SAS’s A350🇳🇴🇩🇰🇸🇪
KonPlayz Yeah, we have. We have Norwegian Air Shuttle, the low cost carrier, and Widerøe, a reginal airline who flies to many of Norways short-runway destinations. Those with SAS are the biggest in the norwegian market.
@@konplayz Yeah but SAS is still the national carrier. Norwegian though is just a Low Cost airline though I can see why you'd be confused. More confusingly, a lot of their biggest routes are now outside of Norway and they now even operate domestic flights in Argentina of all places, so the name doesn't really make much sense anymore to be honest
@@konplayz Scandinavia is confusing! Iceland has Iceland Air and Finland has Finnair, and the rest (Greenland, Estonia, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark (Copenhagen being the largest hub) belong to SAS! Norwegian is a low cost carrier, which ironically has hubs in London for Norwegian UK, and are a lot like Thomas Cook and Jet2 (Tui as well, though I think they have the best long haul budget product and I’d fly them for 15 hours happily). Various other airlines like BRA Brathens Regional (Sweden), Wideroe (Norway), and the now defunct WOW! (Iceland). I hope this helps you understand as it is very confusing. If you like alliances, SAS belongs to Star Alliance and Finnair belongs to One World. Of course, most major airlines, especially if they are part of an alliance, fly to Scandavia, and most, if not all, European airlines serve at least one city.
Hi Paul, I’m so happy that you are doing another economy class review! I like when you do business class reviews too however like me not many can afford business class! As usual though another great video.
@@nicgur_6981 I think Ethan was saying he can't afford business class normally. VS Upper Class is generally a great product though. The older seats not so great but the Clubhouse's are amazing places to spend some time before a flight and well worth turning up early for. As a rule of thumb VS CC are pretty amazing in all cabins and i'm yet to come across any bad ones in Upper Class
Thank you for this wonderful video Paul I love Virgin Atlantic they are my favourite airline I have flown with them 3 times and I wouldn't fly with any other airline besides them. It's good to see you fly economy class and showing what it is like as not everyone can afford business class. Your videos are great I look forward to them keep up the good work.

I've been happy with the flights to London with Virgin Atlantic in economy, though much further, from the west coast. I'm glad to see you reviewing the back of the plane, makes me feel less sad when I turn right while boarding to know what to expect. :D
I did this trip on this plane at the beginning of January. I loved it! I found that the seats were way more comfortable than the seats on virgin's older planes.
I flew the A350 inagural service to New york in economy light, return trip for under £380, I found this to be an absolutely solid product, cannot fault the A350, a great product for Virgin to own
Thanks for another great trip report Paul...looked pretty good for the duration of 5 and a bit hours ! Well done as always mate and I look forward to your next adventure !!!
You passed close to my house (it looks like you were west of Bridgeport CT; I’m just a few miles east of there.) I often see the later transatlantic flights heading across to Europe when I take the dog out for the last time of the evening. Incidentally, I’ll be flying on a VS 351 to LHR later this week and back on a DL 764 next week, a type that has somehow eluded me. Can’t wait! Cheers, Paul - another great video with professional-quality editing and a fair opinion. Thank you!
Hi Paul, Love your videos. I always take note of the airline menus, and try and guess what your going to order. Thank you for doing a video in the economy class for all us Peasants.
Love Virgin Airlines, one of my favs. Got to fly last September in the "bubble " or upstairs on a 747 from Manchester to Atlanta. Was one of my best flights. You should fly to Minneapolis next summer and taste the food at the state fair.
I don’t fly or travel much at all but I find these videos so relaxing, informative and entertaining! A really interesting video once again. I’m going to uni in Dublin this September so I will be flying much more regularly- definitely going to be testing Aer Lingus, BA and Ryanair (ew) so I’d love to see reviews of that route!

I'll be flying this beautiful bird in economy delight in September LAX>LHR and cannot wait, first time on a 350 and I love virgins livery and their lighting 😍 I was expecting you to butcher this product but was pleasantly surprised which is a good thing! :)

Aaahh yes the champagne! Flew this flight on the A340 in March 2018, the crew tried to play matchmaker! Thinking me and lady next to me where a couple, at least it got us talking, we almost had to share a meal too! Like passing ships in the night, I never knew her name!
Excellent video Paul! That Virgin Atlantic A350-1000 looks simply FABULOUS especially the gorgeous winglets and their distinctive livery just look spectacular however I miss no longer seeing their beautiful 747 still flying the skies! 😢 Regardless I cannot wait to try them soon especially in the A350!

Paul, medium time subscriber; first time commenter! Do you find your treatment at the gate and on board changed since you've become a pretty popular influencer?
Nice to see another economy review! Had a feeling we were due for one soon. Curious, have you got any plans to try out other A350 products in the future? Just flew on Delta’s to and from China last month, and it’s hands-down my favorite airliner now. Heck, I actually enjoyed a trans-Pacific flight in economy for the first time, and I’ve done it yearly since when NWA’s 747-400s were the next big thing.
7:50 If you're saying there's only one restroom allocated for economy (people really are supposed to stick to restrooms for the class they booked) then that seems oddly low for that long of a flight.
Booked a round trip ticket from NY to London on Virgin for just $340. Thats insane given you get meals and entertainment. I spent more just going from Raleigh to NYC.
5hrs 31min from JFK to LHR?!?! WOW, must've been one heckuva tail wind. I'm assuming u meant that was the only lav for Economy I guess? I wonder if that's standard on all A350's or just on VA's fleet. Enjoyed the vid as always. 😉👍👍✌
That lounge at JFK looks like a high school cafeteria! And that pink light makes me feel like I'm in a teeny tiny Pepto Bismol bottle and I can't get out!
Always look forward to getting an email and notification when you upload a new video if you're ever in stoke on Trent Paul let me know and I'd be happy to show you around
Looks hellish when compared to business or first class but that's to be expected. I always wonder why there aren't more morning flights from the US/Canadian east coast to the UK. I much prefer leaving in the morning and arriving in London in the evening. It's so much more civilized. Sadly there don't seem to be many options like this.
@@Paul_Lucas I did it in November. Protip: If it's chicken tikka masala, don't eat the decorative chilli on top. Seatmate and I both made that mistake, both resorted to the coffee creamer to put the flames out. Side storage bins were filthy but much appreciated. Less appreciated was the woman in front slamming her seat fully back (then flicking her ponytail over my screen!), which put the movie so close to my face I couldn't focus. I reclined as little as I could, only for the woman behind to spend the next FOUR HOURS trying to push my seat upright with both feet. Such are the joys of long-haul economy. Otherwise - ehhh. Ticked the A380 box, I suppose.
Paul I have a question about the Price iv flown virgin a million times from Heathrow to New York in 2010 I used to pay around 300/350 for a return. In recent years I cant seem to find a price that's about the same it's always up in the 600/700 range any advice ??
Use Google flights to search across multiple dates. First date I picked off the top of my head was 11 June, lo and behold, £284 return with BA: www.google.com/flights#flt=/m/04jpl./m/02_286.2020-06-11*/m/02_286./m/04jpl.2020-06-16;c:GBP;e:1;sd:1;t:f

Thanks Paul!🌞
Hiya. Could you confirm that the centre arms in economy are fully liftable please?
Do all the economy seats recline..?
Looks hellish when compared to business or first class but that's to be expected. I always wonder why there aren't more morning flights from the US/Canadian east coast to the UK. I much prefer leaving in the morning and arriving in London in the evening. It's so much more civilized. Sadly there don't seem to be many options like this.
When you fly British Airways A380 economy, I HIGHLY recommend flying on the upper deck.
Mergatroid Already booked 💪🏻
Yeah I did LAX-LHR upper deck (at the back) on an a380 and it was very fine, small cabin and chilled.

I have a question about the Price iv flown virgin a million times from Heathrow to New York in 2010 I used to pay around 300/350 for a return.
You should try TUI long haul in premium club.
