    yo watching your 47 minute deep dive into each individual move helped alot i hope you don't stop doing that it's genuinely some of the best edu content i've watched for an fgc. breaking down the micro situations for the moves and heavily simplifying victorrs gameplan is the exact break through i needed to improve myself. first tekken I played and sittin at tekken emperor and your vids helped a shit ton. also side note, I hope you stream more, I really like watching your gameplay from tns and want to see more high-level gameplay! keep it up man.

      I appreciate the kind words and I will continue to make educational content of all varieties to help players of all skill levels. It's really just fun for me tbh. I want to stream a lot more but it's tough because my internet isn't the best but I might just have to bite the bullet 😪

    Great video aibo. Eventually would love to see a series of you starting from lower ranks and ranking up explaining what we should focus on based on opponent strengths for each color level.. Maybe something down the line. You’re really improving my victor! Thanks!

    just started a month ago and my friend told me to just play victor. currently sitting in orange but already able to take a round or two off my red friends. lots of moves here i'm not incorporating yet so there's so much to think about. video helps a lot, but wish the move history was up for this particular video as it lets me verify my inputs. subbed :)

    Great work Aibo in sharing your knowledge of Victor. I was a Noctis main and so I picked up Victor. Still a lot to learn, but this is an amazing video along with the other Victor videos you have. Subscriber 301!

      @@tkaibo would be great if you went move by move and why it was used. I was 100 hours in before realising why mid check is a thing :D now i'm at bushin with Victor and sometimes feel like I don't know how to answer some characters even when watching the replay

    Victor players, and Victor as a character... he's just a carry character. All Victor players do is b+1+2 and EXPLOSIÓN and while running 2.
    (thanks for the guide! this frickin' character. this frickin' game.)

    Do u think back 1 is good at space control keepout? Or r there just better options?

    • @tkaibo
      @tkaibo  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      There’s definitely way better options but B1 is good in the close range to force a Perfumer mix. It’s good because the move has the counter hit confirm second hit which is a safe duckable high.

    • @markshmellomd1370

      @tkaibo What other fast mid options would you use for keepout? His WR options?

    Yo do any Victor players actually use up+3?

    • @tkaibo
      @tkaibo  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I don’t use it that much, but there are some practical use cases. Realistically the only thing really good about the move is the counter hit follow ups. I’m not even sure if it’s a true low crush either.

    1. d/f+1 is SUPPOSED to whiff at range 2 - d/f+1 is a range one tool.
    2. you won't be "cooking" anyone if you continuously use UNSAFE crap with Victor. Like Reina, he can be -14 on block too much. You have to be careful.
    3. You gotta have at least two methods to deal with steppers. Victor is linear.
    Other than that, I think Victor is effing nice. lol, he's definity one of the top 3 sexiest characters in Tekken 8, lol. Even the way he moves is hot. He has S+ tier aesthetics, like Dragunov, Lars and Kazuya.
    My only concern with Victor is that I judge characters based (among other things) on the quality of their mids, and a enough of the mids Victor has are unsafe. Namco DOES plan to buff up and equalize the character field in T8, So I'm hoping a couple of his stance mids get bumped up to being -13 or -12 on block, or even made safe in the future at -8. I'm ok with him having a weakness (linearity), as each Tekken character is supposed to have at least one.
    But I have decided to pick Victor up as a secondary as of this video. His moveset is viable, and he's just too damn visually stunning for me not to play him, lol. Even his audibles sound hot. His gameplay is more methodical than my main Lars, who Namco decided to make virtually braindead in T8 unfortunately. Now I will have an option for when I get bored playing my main.

      Victor’s design as a character is centered around high risk, high reward. The best moves that Victor has are the ones that will get him killed. That is just the nature of Victor. How you decide to use them and where you decide to place them is what will separate an average Victor from a good Victor. I’m not saying that you should only use the big buttons ONLY but his small Tekken tools should be primarily used to set up for the big buttons. One thing that I should’ve spoke about in this video was D1+2 since you brought up how linear he is as a character. That move have perfect tracking to both sides, and sometimes behind him but you effectively give up your turn every time the move is blocked. The same goes for UF2 and B4.
      Happy to hear you’re planning on picking up Victor, and thank you for your thoughts!
