You're totally right. The song is an up tempo song, but in this version with the orchestra they changed it up and slowed it down. Give her another chance though! She's an unbelievable talent. Try their new song "Free" or any or their songs.

This is genuinely the calmest performance I’ve ever seen of Florence… she’s normally a magnificent frenetic wood nymph live! Vocals are absolutely flawless live

It’s an older performance but try No light No light, she holds a note for about 27/28 seconds. She’s incredibly good on that one
One of my favorite songs off any of her albums!!!! She is so amazing and even better in concert. She surprises you in so many ways❤ and yes, this song is more up tempo. Very dramatic and effortless

This was a fundraiser being held at a Historical Hall so this was modified for the occasion and location and not representative of her authentic artistry or how she really performs this. So your confusion is warranted. Not sure you will ever see this comment but I hope you watch her true performance of this and you will understand.

Rabbit heart live on letterman is my favorite version of that song.
i bought ticket to her show in Madison square garden nyc because my fav artist sam fender is opening for her and i had no idea who she was even though she's the main event. The show is next week and I have been on a amazing binge and dude I love her. My ticket was pricey when at the begining i was just paying for Sam whos opening but iam getting quite the deal now since iam a Florence fan NOW!

This version, although magnificent....is most appreciated once you know and have heard the original album version. You will then appreciate their differences. For this particular event, at this particular location, I belive this orchestra version was a unique idea, and most appropriate.

You're right, it actually is a lot more up tempo in the studio version versus the live orchestral version. The two are completely different and can see why you're being thrown off. Maybe give the studio version a listen, then maybe this kind of "stripped down" version makes sense

I really recommend listening to it with the lyrics. Also, listen to the acoustic version. It is uptempo, but is also quite heavy subject matter. Acoustic versions don't use the organ. It's much lighter 😊

Great song just maybe not for your introduction to this woman or song. Studio version is more emotional to me. What I loved about your reaction is you had this grin on your face while scratching your head. You had a look like "what in the silly white person music is this" but all that came out was "this is interesting" lol followed shortly after by saying you honestly didn't expect you to see another black person in this video. The flutes and brass in an orchestra would just slide effortlessly into this song, but, rather unfortunately, the whole body of such orchestra does not include a snare drum... But you got like five guys on puke and use like none of then in a drum driven piece. wtf. vacaciones?
