I didn't know this, but when I read this I said "of course she is" to myself, and giggled. Because it just makes so much sense.
Florence seems like the loveliest person. She's like the lovechild of a folklorian witch who lives in a cottage and talks to animals and a stoned mermaid who has the ability to create new colors. In other words, the aesthetic I strive for!

I saw her live in concert and it was indeed spiritual. She reaches out and touches you with her energy. Her singing spirit is night and day to her speaking spirit lol love her, that was such a human story.

I'm a new Englander and I've found we are some of the best people in the country. Sure, we are no nonsense people but we also know how important one another is and we seem to treat people almost as well as Canadians do... But holding hands.... That TRULY is an accomplishment. We aren't big on "touchy feely" stuff... Unless instructed to be by a popular musician. We just can't help it.

Florence mentioned Renaissance, which is fitting because her mother Evelyn is a professor of Renaissance History. Florence's look, however, is more along the lines of the Pre-Raphaelite painters' depiction of medieval figures. It is very odd, however, that her story about her first gig here is very different to the one she has explained previously. In that version, there is no guitarist, she did have a musical companion, Isabella Summers (who had been the baby sitter for Florence's younger sister) and it was the name of the band that she came up with just before the first gig, so not having the name first and the band after as she says here.

I still hope I can see them live someday. They're my favorite band and Florence is like a goddess to me. I look up to her since I met the band when I was about 12, now I'm 22 and I'm so glad they're back at their bullshit so I can have some happiness in my life, at last.

I saw her last night. She has been my favorite band for last 15 years. It was my bucket list to see her live. She was better live!! Amazing. Go see her. This women and her art are a gift to us.

The only artist I've flown to another country to see Live, granted...it was an hour and a half long flight to Toronto...but I've never hopped on a plane for any other musician lol.

She's so adorable and soft spoken, like a shy kitten in real life but when she starts singing a fierce and a powerful lioness arises from the depths of her soul and you can see how much she feels everything and then all the nature forces reunite to move in her favour and i'm so here for that. She's an incredibly talented singer and lyricist and an amazingly down to earth person. I love her.
