This is my new layout for 2024. With this layout I will be removing all magnets from my cars and adding scenery which was lacking with my previous layout.
Cool new lay-out, Gene! I dig it! I like the lint roller on the wheels too. Great idea, and I don't know how or why.... but as many of these vids as I have watched... I have not seen that before. I'll be doing that, as I get my track going. Great vid!
Good job Gene. You can always use a clear lexan wall that you can see through when visibility is difficult. Gene a couple evergreens trees would be great,
It looks as though you will need to elevate the top left-hand corner of the track as if you loose sight of the car on the inside lane as you drive down the left-hand straight and into the corner.
NIce video, pretty layout! I'll have to see it again when I can run the sound :^) 20 years ago I made a 4 lane SCX layout using two nested tracks, then added enough added curves for equal lenngth laps. It was tasty but getting spun-out cars back on the track with 3 active drivers was a bear. OTOH, when I added two lap timers, our child sat next to the display and started working down their lap times without my saying anything... yeah, faster than me too. I wish you luck with no added magnets. 40 years ago I had a mix of historic and then-modern HO cars, ie original TJet 500, and AFX, Tycopro using the motor magnets for enhanced traction. Two different experiences. I dig the wheelspin and fishtailing but most people don't have the patience, and once more than one car is going, recovering spinouts becomes an ongoing irritant. Hence the modern, magnet-happy, style.
The table size is 10'3" x 8' I used 2.5 sheets of Plywood for the top. I had Home Depot cut them in half length wise (2'x8') in order to get them into my Jeep
That is my OnmiSlotBox, it allows me to run digital as well as analog cars on my layout with the flip of a switch. There are 2 power supplies to the left of the box but they are not in view
Very nice, what are the dimensions of your table? I finally have room now for a permanent track and I am looking for some layouts, but size still matters. Thanks in advance.
Gene what is your table size and what would be the corner to corner size for a possible straight? I think we could get from someone here a diagram doing that? 🏁

Thanks
awesome.God bless.
Same to you
great layout that Gene, much better with the version 2 overpass :)
Thanks, I think so too!
Very technical. Tires are really going to matter with no magnets.
Yup tires will be very important with no Mags
Layout looks good. Am I imagining it or does the lighting look a little better in the room?
Thanks, and its not your imagination, I did get some new lighting. Thanks for noticing
What size is the table? 8x8?
The table is 10'3" x 8'
can i ask the lenght and width of the boards used to make your base . thx again
The table size is 10'3" x 8' I used 2.5 sheets of Plywood for the top. I had Home Depot cut them in half length wise (2'x8') in order to get them into my Jeep
Hope you like that layout Gene, Happy New Year.
Happy new year! to you as well. if I dont like I can always change it, thats the beauty of plastic track
Track has a bit of technical to it..very cool
Thanks, I like it so far
was the box flashing green under the track another power supply

Hi nja, my table is 10'3" x 8' only because i accidentally attached the 2x4's to the ends of the 10 footers, but im glad i did
@@SpareRoomSlotCars - Thanks, that size is doable for me. 👍
Cool, thats good to hear
Nice layout ! EAGLE RACEWAY..
Glad you enjoyed it
can i ask how many feet of track was used , limited to space
Based on my table size i used just over 50ft of track
thx for getting back knowing that will give me an idea as to the footage i will be working with
I just noticed something. Your longest possible str8 would be corner to corner I believe.
Hi Greg, Yes it would, but I dont know how I would make it fit with too many overpasses
Gene what is your table size and what would be the corner to corner size for a possible straight? I think we could get from someone here a diagram doing that? 🏁
@@OKSlotCarTesting The table is 10'3" x 8' and the diagonal is just over 12.5'
is that as fast as they go?
no, they could go faster if I had longer straight aways
