It's so ironic that Eren's presence alone this season is enough to terrify people but back in season 1 he was just known as a crybaby.
Armin isn’t falling for Annie because of Bertolt’s memories. Titan shifters don’t inherit romantic feelings from your past shifter. If they do, why Porco isn't in love with Historia? And why Eren isn't in love with Carla? Armin just found comfort in opening up to Annie, someone who can relate to the moral conflict he is going through, and in that comfort, his romantic feelings grew.
The way Eren casually walked into the room really got me when I first watched it. 😂😂
The scene with Gabi's revelation is so neatly planned. I actually cried when Niccolo gives a speech on how Sasha saved him. Look at the story telling we just had ONE scene of them together and still fell hard for both of them.
The speech Mr Braus delivered really felt as Iseyama was delivering a direct message to us the audience.

“Sasha was a hunter. Even as a wee girl, she shot varmints in the forest for us to eat. That was just our way of livin'. But I knew there'd come a day we'd have to give up that style of life, so I sent Sasha away from the forest. She went into the world, became a soldier, shot people far yonder, and got herself shot. In the end, though she left our forest, the world is a great, big forest where everyone's fightin' for their life. I reckon Sasha died 'cuz she wandered in the forest too long. We've got to keep the young-uns out of the forest. Otherwise, ain't nothin' gonna stop it from happening again. That's why it's up to us adults to shoulder the sins of the past.”
One of my absolute favorite episodes in the series. Kaya trying to kill Gabi after she helped and stood up for her and Falco for so long is heartbreaking every time. And if there were more Mr. Braus in the world, it would be a better place. But too many adults are trapped in the forest.

The knife itself represents the ‘knife’ that’s passed around in the cycle of hatred. It’s something you CHOOSE to pick up and is also something that you can make the choice to put down. Sasha chose to shoot the Marleyan soldiers as retaliation for Paradis. In turn, Gabi picked up the rifle to avenge her home and killed Sasha. One of the best episodes in the series - it literally tells you all the themes of the series. Plus Sasha's dad is a fantastic character.

this is one of my favourite storylines of the show. no big action, but the undoing of all Gabi thought she knew, and the revelation of the cycel of hatred. i love the metaphor of the forest - where Gabi and Eren lived their entire lives.
