Literally me too. I was trying to explain this game to my wife and son and they thought I was making it up. Wish I could have gotten my fingers on the full version as a kid. Sheeesh even now hahahah
Astro Bot of all things brought me here, I basically recognized every bot in that game, but this game was the one I didn’t recognize, Team Asobi stumped me with this one.
This is what Cook Serve Delicious was inspired from. The guy who made it previously made two fan-games called Ore no Ryomi and Ore no Ryomi 2. Check it out for yourselves.
This is what my childhood semester breaks looks like, around late 90s-200x me and my brother spent a lot of our times after finished our school's programs in grandparent's home in the city with Ps1 of our older cousin and from game centers around that area as well, truly fun and beautiful memories.
just take a minute to appreciate not just all the things happening on screen, but all the sounds. 8:50 listen to that awesome music playing behind the hectic sounds of a busy kitchen. in some ways i'm glad i had no idea what was really happening on that demodisc, but it was memorable. if it was translated and catered to western tastes, i think it would have lost some of its charm and just have been another game that no one would want to play. i didn't want mcdonalds simulator, i wanted whatever the hell this psychedelic experience was.
Was looking into the inspiration for Cook Serve Delicious, and it's neat that the sliding order cards are the main thing they kept in the UI! I do wish CSD have similar cooking simulations (ala Cooking Mama) which this game does but I guess it's gonna make each steps more tedious 😂
Cooking mama got nothing on this game. I would have to buy three controllers to play this game because I keep messing up my joystick on one controller and its co-op, too...I think.
This video unlocked so many memories of having that demo disc and not knowing how to do _anything_
dude yes
Heck yea! I still have the demo
