I thought you were just bad at the game, until I tried it myself. I'm usually good with Rhythm Games but the timing on this is just crazy strict. And I think the inputs are just a tiny amount delayed, but with a game like this, a tiny amount is everything.
@TheStickKid Not unrelated. Remembered the game one day, saw your videos, went looking for an ISO. Now we just need someone to play the game right! And what about the four other characters on the title screen? Secret stages? Lord knows how you're supposed to unlock those.
secret stages is a bonus/freepaint stages, you can bassicaly paint freely on them without copying computer, to unlock these you need to get 350 or greater total score on a route

I heard it has a special feature with the audio that makes it a bitch to emulate, so it’s practically impossible on emulators due to audio delay

This is such a weird and wonderful game.
More importantly, patapon has a rhythm. Even locoroco does have rhythm.
Locoroco doesn't have much Rhythm..... The Only Rhythmic Thing, i can think of are the Accapella Segments in 2, which have a small Rhythm Game
