- I still have very little clue what I'm doing in this game, but it's extremely addictive. I've played this demo a lot and one of my friends was so addicted to the demo that he Imported the Japanese version (which we found out doesn't work with the disk swap technique, so you'll either need a modded PS1/PS2, or a Japanese PS1/PS2 to play it), and he actually ended up giving the game to me, but I still can't play it yet. I'm wanting to pick up a Japanese PS2 sometime so I can enjoy the imports from both systems.
Note: I just now finally realized near the end of me playing this that you're supposed to add as many ingredients to the soup as you can. i didn't realize that (or maybe I just forgot about it not sure), so at the beginning of the vid I really suck, but near the end I only mildly suck.
The name translates as "I'm the Chef"
It's too bad that this one never hit the states. Sure it would have sold for s***, but I would have enjoyed it.
The Jampacks always used to have some cool Import demos to play. That's also how I came to know about Tail Concerto which is also a very underrated and fun little platformer from Atlus.
for the longest time I thought this game was a weird dream I had, I'm glad it actually existed.
Amazing that here in America no one could understand what was said or the instructions that appeared on screen, yet we all knew how to play the game.
I've been trying to find this game ever since I played this demo. This and the MGS demo were the two jampack demos I played more than anything else.

one of the best games i've ever played. Sad it didnt get enough love.
Never knew what the hell the game was saying or how i even was able to start the game at 5yrs old but i had so much fun playing this
If you want to know what some of the words are:
irasshaimasen = proper form of saying "welcome"
arigatogozaimasu = proper form of saying "thank you very much"
gomennasai = proper form of saying "I'm sorry"
oteage = "you're hopeless"
made ashita nee = "until tomorrow I'm sure"

Same here, I think most of the folks commenting originally played the demo in the early 2000's
I used to play this demo on the Jampack 2000 edition. Good times.
I'm having a nostalgia moment like crazy!! I used to play the heck out this demo and the whole summer 2000 jampack.......memories
And to think we wouldn't have Cook, Serve, Delicious! without this game.

I love this game😍😍😍 me and my lil sis would be up late night playing this and when too many orders of beer came thru she would only give them foam to clear the screen. I use to hate when you had to catch the robber and still try and make food!!!!
