Definitely agree. I appreciate Will's method of review more than any other channel. It's very objective and extremely thorough. The SJP pedals are the only "high-end" pedals in my price range, and I've got to know just how good or bad they are for the price.

VNM pedals having bearings on all the moving parts would make them silky smooth with no play compared to brass bushings on the simjacks. But for the price simjacks are very good if you are prepared to do a bit of tinkering to get them right, also I have heard the supplied elastomers are not great.

I love mine, i've had them since december 2022, they are built like a tank, no squeeks or rattles, everything is super smooth. I got them initially without the brake upgrade kit because they were out of stock but i bought it recently and it is worth getting them together if you are buying these, this way you can really finetune the brake because it's super stiff out of the box, one thing i wish was better is more adjustability of the pedal plates because of my crappy rig the angle of them isn't the best but that is a problem specific to me and will be "fixed" once i get a proper 80/20 cockpit, i checked my cables and all of them have heat shrink on them so your set propably wasn't picked up during qc, i would recommend these over heusinkveld sprints, i paid 902 CAD$ with taxes for a set of 3 pedals with 200kg loadcell, meanwhile a set of 2 Heusinkveld 100kg loadcell (gas and brake) is 899 CAD$ before tax so i'd say VNM are much better value.

I've had these pedals for about 6 months. I did not get any of the extras, just a 3 pedal set. I love the aesthetics and large faceplates on these. The pedals are a bit tall for my rig, so I had to raise my feet up to get more leverage on the pedal face. I blew out/split the brake elastomer in the first few weeks of owning them, but only because I was seeing how hard I could press on the brake and apparently I found the limit lol... But I haven't done anything to repair it since then and it's working just fine. There is a faint "squeaking" sensation in the brake if you play close attention, as the broken elastomer rubs against itself. The throttle has excessive throw... I wish I could move the bump stop even further to reduce the throttle throw, because at full throttle the pedal is like 3inches past the brake pedal, which results in some lower back/knee pain. I fixed this by having the brake mounted slightly behind the throttle so the distance to the pedals isn't so much of an offset between my two legs. The clutch pedal can be a pain in the ass to make adjustments to because it involves so many screws and washers. Once you get them dialed in, they are awesome to use.

@@jonfrderick I haven't tried the sprints. If I were to buy pedals again, I'd look at simagic pedals with the haptic feedback motor. I like their rounded pedal face too. The VNM pedals are nice but they're not perfect.

Regarding elastomer blow outs… i have had my Sprints since 2019. Those elastomers just blew out earlier this year. I do a lot of rally so i bang the hell out of them. I wouldnt be too concerned with elastomers blowing out. These pedals are actually on my radar for upgrading since im starting to max out the sprints brake pedal. Iv been looking at them for about a year.

@@gadpettersson9173 It's so strange how few reviews there are! Especially for how popular the cup1's were. So far I have only tried the pedals with the hydraulic brake and I'm not the biggest fan because the pressure is so stiff and doesn't have that initial uptake that Boosted talks about, which I like as well. I am planning on getting the LC brake because it has an integrated spring with the polymers similar to this VNM set. I ultimately decided on the Meca's because I like the design of the pedals and cup concept for the polymers, plus they are relatively cheap for the quality of build which I can assure you is excellent.

Is there any chance you could PLEASE compare the fully upgraded versions of this and the P1000 with hydrolic brake and throttle kits? I know that the Simagic haptics can be attached to both (with a small adapter purchase for the VNM), so it can be ignored for comparative purposes. To me that is the ultimate test of the best under $1000 pedal set.
If you don't think a full video would be compelling to enough people, Id love to hear your thoughts.
