thanks great review as always. love the depth and density of information consistently provided in these reviews. Wouldn't this product be in the same category as the Simagic pedals as well? Not sure if they were ever reviewed on the channel. What I like about Simagic's approach is that they are providing an upgrade path of their products to add haptic feedback. This is a potential drawback of all the sim pedals on the market today where this feature might become the standard. I can see that communicating information through the pedals about ABS trigger point would be a huge selling point and a great advantage in sim, no matter the quality of the pedal itself.

Pre-production model? And here I was thinking that these things have been available for the public to purchase for months. Why on earth are they sending a reviewer a pre-production model, after the initial release? I think it's inexcusable, especially for the asking price. In fact, I'm pretty sure that there's another well known reviewer out there that had the same issues with these pedals when they tested them OVER 4 MONTHS AGO. Just my 2 cents...
In fairness we’ve had these about 4 months. But yes, it would have been nice to A. Be told they were preproduction. B. Be told they had identified issues that might impact us and taken steps to rectify them.
Since the time we organised this review we have started confirming whether something is preproduction or final before it’s shipped.

SRP-GT-R 3P (including clutch) for 1050 euros deserves a shout. Arguably the best pedals behind the Simucube active pedals that are priced too high for most.
I have the earlier model (2 pedals GT) for over two years now, and I still like them. There was an idea that the cilinders could fail, but after over two years of heavy use they are still fine.
@BOOSTED MEDIA I would be curious to know your thoughts on the advantages or differences between brake pedals that solely utilize elastomers vs those that use only springs. Many claim springs are much better suited, but I have not tested myself...
I would really like to see a video on cost to performance. Such as a full budget build a mid grade build to the extreme (I don't worry about money) build. With everything from a cockpit to wheels and pedals, etc. I understand everything is subjective. A total buyer's guide would be awesome. And of course it would be based on today's prices. I'm currently trying to save money for my dream setup, but I find it very difficult to find the right path to start down. It's just a huge investment, and I really think that these guys would definitely help me decide on how to spend my hard earned money.
Hey Will great insightful review as always. I have these pedals and generally happy with them so far. Just wondering what pedal plate you were using when you had them on your rig?
I probably will never buy them because I'm pretty happy with my P1000s but I'd be lying if I say they didn't catch my eye every time I was scrolling through catalogs looking for pedal upgrades. These are hands down the nicest aesthetic I've seen on pedals.
These won't hold a candle to the P1000s with the haptic feedback which is a complete game changer.
Us p2000 owners need some love in the form of haptics
@@ty194 I just bought a set of P1000's, Though didn't bother with the haptic motors due to the software limitations. I mostly drive open wheelers without ABS or Traction control so they haptic motors wouldn't be doing anything. If they bring in lockup and wheel spin effects I might go down that road.
@@Metla666 Yes if you look at Player1 Sim Gear's channel, he said that Simagic has implied they're working on more feedback like engine rumble and reacting to bumps and things like that. Just the way I look at it now is that if manufacturers are going to charge this much, it needs to have some sort of haptic feedback now. Simagic has shown the way with a relatively affordable solution and if they develop it as it seems they will, other pedals anywhere around its price range will be pointless. If Simucube's offering was anywhere near affordable, all other pedal sets would have been obsolete overnight.

Thanks for another graet vid Will,I am still running the the Mecacup 1 pedals,They still work and look the same as when they were new.But they are a few years old now. Do you think these more up to date pedals have any performance advantages against older highend pedals????
Simtrecs are always overlooked, Barry at Sim racing garage still has them on his daily driver, that has to mean something

Those are the pedals I ordered. Can't wait to finish building the rig to try them. They look and feel absolutely amazing.
I also do not get how much overlooked they are. There is nearly no marketing around them yet they cost about the same as HSV Ultimates or these CC pedals. Which shows how much more of the cost goes towards the pedals themselves over the marketing.

I have them and I love them tbh, have tried the VRS or HV but I'm happy with my choice, coming from CSL V3's is a big difference, and like you mentioned the customisability is amazing, but I agree the gas throttle pedal is not great, great review.

I can agree. I'm really happy with my choice, even though I just had to send them back to the factory for repairs. I don't really hear about faults on the pedals, probably my set being the only one to have that particular issue. I don't have the slip thing he talked about, but I opted on to not use the blue tensioning knob for the preload, I use those plastic spacers/end caps with the lug nuts in the package (just like Dan Suzuki used them), since I have to mount them another way onto the Sim-Lab pedal plate. Would honestly be better if they were made from some sort of metal, because in my experience those plastic parts give more customizability on how you can set up the whole pedal preset. The blue knob looks nice and adds to the overall aesthetics of the pedal, but the other is just more functional. Overall I'm happy with the pedals, I love how the brake feels. No other pedal other than the Simucube Active Pedals can surpass or even match the Heusinkveld Ultimate+ throttle, this one can't really get close either. Maybe with time they can improve the pedal set or make a complete revision.

This review was great but really annoyed me!!! Because I love blue and these are damn beautiful! But so many tiny flaws I couldn’t accept. I purchased the invicta hydrolics and omg I’m glad I did,the most incredible set of pedals in the world in my opinion.
And for what it’s worth my mate is a current v8 supercar driver (Top 5) won an event this year, and he knows his shit.
He ran my pedals for 6 hours at my place doing a I~Racing event for the day and he said “I can’t see anything ever being so good under breaking for consistency and feel as these things” so he agrees with the invicta comment also
He used to run sim magic p2000 and bought the invicta that arvo
He now runs Asetek invicta base and pedals with CC wheel for what it’s worth

Those GTRs are some of the sturdiest and nicest looking sets I've seen -- Reminds me of something Simucube would build -- but half the price they'd probably charge.
I'm currently running VNM lites. Pretty basic looking but amazing feel and performance.
I felt so good of myself when I finally was able to step away from thrustmaster and get my csl dd 8nm with a playseat challenge. Now I feel like it's never going to be good enough! Go from feeling great back to shitty again. Probably will never afford these or half the gear you show Will..
There are plenty of great pedals on the market, actually the pedals market is surely the most competitive and hardest to distinct currently.
I used VRS, Fanatec V2+3, Asetek, Heusinkveld and Cube Controls.
I must say, Cube Controls looks is oustanding and what I loved the most, is the sheer amount of options to setup your pedals in the way you want.
This fact is also a drawback on the other hand, because many people don't want to spend that much time of setting up something to your liking.
Price is high, but for me personally, if you want to spend the money, it is worth it.
Review is spot on and great quality as usual!

At this price, they need to have haptic feedback motors now. Although it will never be reviewed on this channel, Simagic's P1000s with haptic motors have changed the game.
What is the best pedals you have experienced up until now? Include simcube direct drive one.
You say in the beginning that they would not see this video before you launch it and yet there is a correction about the pedal being preproduction. Did they see this video before you launched it?
Great review as usual. Pedals seem too pricey for what they deliver. There's 3 or 4 other pedal sets that seem to offer a very similar experience for this money, or cheaper, and have all-in-one software. Still, they look nice 😅

I know you’ve been dealing with a falling out with Simagic, but I’m sure a lot of your viewers would appreciate a review on the Simagic P1000. It looks like they may be great products for many people due to Simagic’s notorious best bang for buck, including a possible revolutionary haptic system. Your expertise in this area would be invaluable, and I trust your opinion.
They are beautiful for sure but just don't see the value to price ratio myself ... but they definitely are well presented and I'm sure they are good.
Hope some day you'll have the opportunity to test the Simagic P1000(i)!

I like the look of the pedals but apart from the looks nothing else is exceptional and has been done before at a lower price point. I cant see why these would cost so much more than the competition except for the looks and brand name.

These look very nice but given the fact that it seems we are just starting into the active pedals/pedals with feedback revolution, it seems kinda silly to spend this much money on a pedal set that it still the same old spring/elastomer and loadcell set up we’ve seen for years now. Just looking good isn’t enough anymore in todays market.

He's not ever going to review anything from Simagic anymore. You will have to make do with Race Beyond Matter or one or two of the other TH-camrs who have reviewed it.

@@PietroPizzi He had a falling out with Simagic, that's why you can't find reviews on here for things like the Alpha U wheelbase or the FX Pro wheel even though they're supposed to be excellent.
You can add the haptic to other pedals. I just ordered the haptic motor for my HE+

I get it that these look a lot nicer and have adjustability on the throttle but comparing these to the csl elite v2 pedals makes these seem silly. The v2s give you more adjustability on the brake pedal and it comes with the different springs and elastomers. It’s way easier to change them too. They also come with a clutch pedal and a baseplate. Both pedal sets are machined and powder coated aluminum. Also the V2s are a roughly a third of the price… I get these look nice but that doesn’t justify the price for me.
I’m looking at new pedals and am willing to ignore price if they are worth it(bar simucube). In your opinion what is currently the best pedals on the market you have used?
Active Pedals aside with price as no object I’d probably go with Heusinkveld Ultimate+. VRS and VNM are very close but the build quality and refinement on HEs is just a tiny bit better in my opinion.
If it were my money though I’d probably buy VNM as they are very close and a lot cheaper.

Maybe its aluminium on the accel pedal because u press much less force into it than the braking one, even more when ur using dampers
If i upgrade my pedals to anything itll be Mozas CRP pedals cause my whole rig is Moza it would be rough starting over and having to use multiple software programs to control my stuff and ovr a grand for 2 pedals use entirely to much granted they do look incredible i can only imagine these a far past the point of diminishing returns for sure EV b been if the Hey do look good are the twice as good as Mozas CRP pedals that actually come with a clutch
I feel like we are paying for nice CNC work at this point. The product having a differentiating look shouldn't be something that the customer pays for

See this is where I have some issues with people just plain being stupid...... These prices are absolutely Ludacris for pedals, those pedals are more than the actual pedals cost that are in your car people..... Come on man.... I mean maybe if you are a very serious contender in the Sim racing world and maybe these will help your driving.... again that's a big maybe if they actually would help you improve more than likely they wont, they are just pretty earrings you place your feet on...... WOW just WOW the amount of money people waste on gaming. This is for people that have no idea what to spend their money on.
Hi Will, could you do a video ranking the best direct drive wheel bases and pedal sets? Maybe a best bang for buck at three different price points with the pros and cons? There has been so much new gear in the last 12 months that it is hard to keep up!

clearly they can build solid pedals for 5-600 bucks, these 10k pedals that are faulty, made of different material depending on the pedal etc, this gives me a clue that they planned for production efficiency and cost efficiency for the supply chain. And still it comes with all these faults, 10k ye nah, its a gimmick. Please racers, dont fall for this kind of price gouging. I would looove to see the production cost of the product.
I wish these reviews were a bit more natural/to-the-point. It is clear to me that he is constantly mincing his words to avoid saying anything is "bad" even when it obviously is. I assume this is to avoid upsetting the vendor and preventing future sponsorships, but it is extremely unfortunate for the viewers.
At this point is a bit hard to trust any reviews here 100% because of the obvious intervention and the whole "cannot say anything is bad" approach.
If modern vehicles are drive by wire why don't these sim manufacturers just use whatever system actual cars are using nowadays to capture the feel and authenticty?

in this day and age 1k plus pedals should not be spring and elastomer just my opinion, you can only get so much feel out of them when so many companies are producing same quality for a fraction of the price

Just blow my mind, price aside, why the heck would you ever send a preproduction model for review if its not the actual item you are gonna produce. Things like that will cost them sales, just a really dumb way to cheap out.

seriously though, what's the point of leaving you making that review if they have an updated version? they should've told you to send them back and send you the updated ones. i find that kinda annoying. it works against them too. during this time people are misleaded. go to buy something else while in fact updated version might be a good deal. really not smart at all to do that.
