I ordered a GT2 knob for my POORSHA the other day. My 2024 Golf R. went with the 400-500 gram knob... can't wait for 2 months to have it arrive and I install it.
Just watched your video, I, too, am seriously considering replacing the shift knob on my 2024 718. Thanks so much for posting this. Curious which knob you finally decided on. I’m leaning toward the Sport one when the time comes. I love my Boxster but the shift knob has got to go. Will probably tackle it next spring. Problem is, I’m really a novice so I will watching your video a couple of times before I tackle the switch.
I stayed with the Grand Turismo and am very happy with it! I noticed that the GT6 is now offered in a Grand Turismo+ which is heavier than the Grand Turismo.
@@PIFDIY Thanks so much for the reply. I'm looking at the GT2, the heaviest offered is the Grant Truism. I noticed that there really isn't much difference in weight between the Sport & Sport+. I might try to find some weights that will approximate the weight of the two knobs so I can get a feel of their weight. Thanks again for the video!
Hi, no, very happy with my Mr. 12Volt apple carplay upgrade! Preserves the factory look and performs great. Very FAST wireless carplay connection that never disconnects unexpectedly. The sound quality is very good and allows for lots of adjustment. The only negative is phone quality at higher speeds. The ambient cabin noise seems to overwhelm the mic and makes it difficult to have a phone conversation. This was the case with the OEM bluetooth connection as well, so I really don't feel that I lost any usability.
Thanks for this video! I am currently shopping this knob for a 2018 Audi A4 (B9) Manual. Your video was very informational. Wondering: Did you keep the GT one, or the sport one long term?
Yes, I still am using the GT knob. I may go back and try the sport, but honestly I really like the feel now with no desire to improve. With that said, your Audi won't have the same linkage as my car and the additional weight of the GT might not be needed. Maybe you can find some forum users that have opinions? Good luck!

Just ordered the GT1R kit for my ‘19. Can’t freaking wait.
Thanks for your video. I just installed the GT-1 with a medium Sport+ weight. Your video made it a snap. Very helpful.
Great to hear!
Nice now im gonna order on for my Golf R. I was think sport + as well
Super underrated video! Thanks for sharing, I'll be ordering mine soon with the GT weight!
Put a GT3 knob (medium/Sport) with a Numeric short shifter (stock cables) on my '24 Cayman GTS. Massive improvement.

Love the detailed demo. Question for you. If you installed this today, would you buy a different headunit?

Any wobbling? Is the knob held in place only by the set screw in it?
No wobbling, knob is very secure. I had the same concern but it turns out that the set screw is all that's needed.
What's the plastic tool you used to get the boot free?
Found the link from an Amazon order that I placed 11 years ago :) - a.co/d/4B7wPNz
