A Huge Thank You for keeping Sal Mineo in memory. . Tragic is exact word, In fact all 3 famous actors from one movie, Natalie Wood, James Dean & Sal Mineo all died horrible deaths..
All three Amazing but finally they named Robert Redford a person of interest and mysterious drowning of Miss wood I didn't believe for a second the way he described it absolutely not she was terrified of water she would have never got in the water without having some unwanted help he's 80 years old and from what I heard they may be reopening her case cross the fingers
This story is heartbreaking. I also noticed that his brother too passed young - in his 40's. Such an immense talent callously snuffed out. I'm so glad you shared this story with us. I'm sure even he would be pleased by it.
You are fabulous - I do not know how you remain so upbeat all of the time. Your stories are always very interesting and your delivery is flawless. Thank you for your great contribution to social media.
I completely agree with your comment. Having a culture involves learning about past and present while Jordan takes us places that most of us would never see ourselves. Truly has become my favorite genre on TH-cam to follow Jordan and a few others that present the same type of format. Mini documentaries is what I call it. Cheers!
He was working on the Universal lot in a COLUMBO episode. It was in the mid 70s and I remember one of the Production execs telling me that everyone loved working with him. A total professional and very personable. When he was murdered it was just about all we talked of the next morning in our offices. It was pretty emotional and a number of us were crying. His death was one of those horrible incidents you never forget.
Truly sad I was a child when he passed away all the greats and on there way to be great always die so young should still be here he would have been one of the greats like Robert De Niro....etc
Sal's last film role was as Doctor Milo in "Escape from the Planet of the Apes." He hated wearing the ape makeup and said he did the film for the money. He got the role from his friend Roddy McDowall, whom he filmed "The Greatest Story Ever Told" with. RIP Sal, you deserved better.
Thank you, Jordan, for telling Sal's story. Such a sad way to go. I hope he rests in peace. I'm glad you didn't identify his killer. He shouldn't get fame for what he did. God has a place for people like him. I won't say where. Thank you again and take care.
This is fantastic. He was such a great actor. I didn't know he could play the drums. Thank you for including the clip of him playing. I need to find that movie to watch. Such a sad and needless death. Great vlog as usual! Thanks Jordan.
I cannot believe you are covering all the people I just loved! Sal Mineo was great! THs was so informative and he passed so tragically and was so young. Thanks so much for taking us along!
No matter what kind of day I'm having, the opening lines of your videos never fail to make me smile. Say hi to Kadee and Jah from me. Hope you have a wonderful day Jordan and to everyone here too 🧡🌿
Many thanks for visiting this gravesite. He really was an amazing talent - one of those actors who, no mater the role he played, managed to capture the screen. Makes you wonder what he could of achieved had his life not ended so tragically. This was another great vlog Jordan.
Thank you for sharing this story about Sal Mineo, I had such a crush on him as a teenager and was very saddened when he was so tragically murdered. I remember him in the Gene Krupa Story, and who could forget Rebel Without a Cause! May he rest in peace. Well done, Jordan.
Just catching up Jordan. Been watching you since under 15000 viewers. You are just always calm, kind, and try to be as factual as you can be. Going to binge listen while getting ready for Christmas. Condolences to you for your sweet grandfather. He is always watching over you.
I’ve known about him all my life. I was a child but fell in love with him in Tonka. I was six years old when that movie debuted. I’ve never forgotten about him.
Thanks Jordan you're right Sal Mineo story is a sad one. Dying in an alley like that at the hands of someone who just did it for that next high. I never forgot Sal I thought he was very handsome! Thank goodness his father didn't live to have to make his casket.
My dad is buried at this cemetery, wish i could of ran into you. Definitely would of liked share his story on your channel about him. Hope all is well man. I really enjoy your channel.
I grew up in a small town in SW New York. Their was a murder of a school mate - horror story. He was caught, served time, but when we were seniors in highschool we heard he was being paroled ( those of us that remembered were in an uproar!) Tied to a tree and left to freeze to death!
Boy, this is such a sad and tragic story. I remember your blog from it seems like a few years ago in California where you’ve blocked this, so it was great to get the closure of finally seeing his final resting place and may he truly rest in peace.❤
I saw Sal Mineo's very last acting performance in the play "P.S. Your Cat Is Dead" in San Francisco in 1976. The play then moved to Los Angeles and he was murdered shortly thereafter.
I have all his music from the 50's and 60's. Great actor and singer. First movie I went to in the theater was Rebel without a cause in 1955 as I was a huge James Dean fan. Sad ending for James Dean, Sal Mineo and Natalie Wood from that movie.
So sad. I didn't know who he was till the day he died and his death hit the news. After getting to know about him I have probably seen all of his films, and I remember his episode on My Three Sons. He was so handsome. I Hate drugs! I don't like the word, but it has brought so many families so much unbearable pain, including mine. Rest In Peace, Sal.🌹
Thank you for telling his story. Sadly, I did not know who he was. Had me missing my mom because i would have shared this story with her. It was during her era, and I think she would have enjoyed your video. Very interesting ❤
Hi Jordan! I love your videos, and since you are in Ny and I know you are a HUGE Wrestling Fan,I wanted to let you know, that Captain Lou Albano is buried in Rose Hills Memorial Park ,in Putnam Valley NY. My mom,was a HUGE Wrestling Fan as well, and she and Lou were good friends. I speak from personal experience when I say,he was a very kind man. Just wanted to let you know,if you come this way!
I've seen Rebel without a cause. That was a really good movie. Sal definitely stood out in Rebel. I don't think that I've seen anything else that he was in.
Anybody who lived through the 70s will remember how much worse street crime was in many cities in those years. Subsequent decades became a lot safer almost everywhere, but now we are intentionally changing the laws in order to facilitate rising crime rates. And indeed, crime rates are shooting up again. You wonder who will be the next Sal Mineo...
This was a good vlog Jordan thank you for that , my first time knowing who he was was in the tv. Show combat ! 1962 , I remember when he was killed. ( drugs , what a wonderful thing. Makes me sick ) THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA......
Hello Jordan have you ever thought about doing a vlog on Hedy Lamarr she was one of my favorites and she’s a bright cookie too! A wonderful actress and inventor. Have a great day! 😀
Nice one, Jordan. Love you and what you do. Keep em coming. Big shoutout from this old, longhaired, country boy in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. See ya on the next. God bless. Peace. Later.
Jordan, I have health issues that in the past year are making me often not feeling like words . These emoji left. I hope to express my love for you and your work . God bless you, Kati, the family, and especially little Jah ❤ always. 🦁👍
Thanks for this and we'll done ✔️ Remember seeing Sals Movies 🎬 in the late 50s with my Mom . A powerful Actor 👏 Folks at time were just beginning to accept the death of James Dean . Another fine Actor gone home too soon .
Hey Jordan, I really enjoy your videos. You are a great host. Well read on subject matter, great video shots, and a great upbeat personality. We sure have common interests. Thanks for sharing. Ohh by the way where could I find a pair of those Elvis sunglasses you were?
Sal was left with his money on him and there was change beside him since he screamed Oh God Oh God Help me...the attacker ran away as people opened their Windows to see what had happened. He was also goven mouth to mouth by a nieghbor until his last breath..
Sal sure looked incredible on the screen. He was built for the camera, for sure! I didn't know how he passed, so unfortunate, and feel bad for the small headstone. Thanks for the vid!
Good evening Jordan, those shades in green are cool on you 😎 the sad story of Sal Mineo, his life was he was murder, somebody stabbed him in cold blood. 😢 Thanks for sharing this. Stay safe.
that nobody stole that award is a bit of A miracle let's hope it says like that after this video because we have seen vandalism before at gravesites (Jim Morrison Paris bust 2004)
Don't forget somebody up there likes me. With Paul Newman.. I think he did actually play someone Italian in that..great film. It was meant to be the next James Dean film.
I have a photo of my grandmother (from before my grandparents married I think) with Sal Mineo taken at Hotel Victoria in NYC. Not sure of the date though. Guessing early 50s.
We stayed at the Hotel Victoria in NYC in 1964 when we visited the 64/65 World’s Fair. I remember that there were window air conditioning units. Sadly, the hotel no longer is there.
first heard about this on a program about unsolved murders it wasn't the Robert Stack one cant think of the name of it wish you would do something on Robert thought he was very good looking and also loved the Untouchables TV program another old actor I loved was the man who was married to Barbara Stanwick (sorry about the memory) thanks
Love your videos ! I liked this young actor. It's very sad what happened to him it's wrong how Hollywood chews people up, uses them up, then tosses them aside and leaves them to their devices. No advocacy. Millions are made, and they could rawl away and croak and nobody cares. The child actors have it the worst. I hope it's at least a little better than it was . There should be child advocates and chaperones and guardians for them. It's really sad.

Always been saddened by the completely pointless death of Sal. So sad to see a young and talented person's life cut so short.
Sal Mineo's story is so sad. Thank you for the story, Jordan.
Just catching up Jordan. Been watching you since under 15000 viewers. You are just always calm, kind, and try to be as factual as you can be. Going to binge listen while getting ready for Christmas. Condolences to you for your sweet grandfather. He is always watching over you.
My mom introduced me to the beauty of Sal Mineo decades ago. He was great in "Rebel Without A Cause".
He was a great actor; the way he died was a real pity. Wish he were still with us. Love those screen test shots! Thank you!
Thanks, Jordan. Such a sad, senseless story. I'm glad you mentioned Tonka. I saw it as a kid and that is how I knew Sal Mineo!
My dad is buried at this cemetery, wish i could of ran into you. Definitely would of liked share his story on your channel about him. Hope all is well man. I really enjoy your channel.
I had never really heard the facts of his death but when I heard about it in 77.
It made me very sad that it happened.
Very very Good job, Jordan.😢😊
And I thought that only today California was light on crime. Why in the hell was his killer released on parole? Great video Jordan, thanks.
I grew up in a small town in SW New York. Their was a murder of a school mate - horror story. He was caught, served time, but when we were seniors in highschool we heard he was being paroled ( those of us that remembered were in an uproar!) Tied to a tree and left to freeze to death!
Such a promising career extinguished for no reason… makes me so mad… thank you for featuring Sal Mineo

Thanks for that! He was great. I saw his brother passed away early too and that their Mom outlived them both, that must have been terrible for her.
I saw Sal Mineo's very last acting performance in the play "P.S. Your Cat Is Dead" in San Francisco in 1976. The play then moved to Los Angeles and he was murdered shortly thereafter.
Sad story. As a teenager, I was one of those female fans who thought he was the bomb. I only learned how he had died thru your earlier vlog on him.
I have all his music from the 50's and 60's. Great actor and singer. First movie I went to in the theater was Rebel without a cause in 1955 as I was a huge James Dean fan. Sad ending for James Dean, Sal Mineo and Natalie Wood from that movie.
So so sad ... what a handsome young man
Thank you for sharing his story.
RIP 🌹
Thanks Jordan, for All you do..Blessing's from East Tennessee ❤⚡️🎶⚡️
The Gene Krupa Story was an excellent movie, Gene sent Sal a drum set.
Love your stories we’ve learned so much about the lives of these incredible people. Keep up this incredible work 😊
I always thought his story was so sad because he seemed like a real nice guy and good actor and what a horrible way to go
Thank you for telling his story. Sadly, I did not know who he was. Had me missing my mom because i would have shared this story with her. It was during her era, and I think she would have enjoyed your video. Very interesting ❤

All James Dean fans love our beloved Sal Mineo. Sal said he was scared to death of Jimmy and was in love with him at the same time.
Another great one Jordan. Always look forward to watching you.
Another well told story about an actor that left us too soon
Thanks for this and we'll done ✔️ Remember seeing Sals Movies 🎬 in the late 50s with my Mom . A powerful Actor 👏 Folks at time were just beginning to accept the death of James Dean . Another fine Actor gone home too soon .

Very interesting! I didn’t know how he passed. Thanks!
Good video, rip to him.

Thanks Jordan
Well done, you're keeping these lovely people alive. Very informative, I've learnt something more today, thank you
Aw to that's so lovely, James, Natalie and Sal had really brothers and sister relationship😢
Such a senseless murder.
Sad story. Neither brother lived long lives--their poor mother had to endure the loss of her husband and her two sons.
Enjoyed again Jordan Jah
such a handsome, good looking young man, how sad he got murdered for no reason, very stupid. thanks Jordan.
Fantastic actor tragically taken too soon and needlessly Trivia: David Cassidy of The Partr8dge Family paid for Sal's casket
I live in Detroit and I wonder if that killer lives near me. I hope not.
Criminals have more rights than the victims
