  • The first-ever complete southbound journey through all eight San Francisco BART stops, with sunny skies greeting a 9-car Millbrae train traveling from Embarcadero Station to Balboa Park at the start of the weekday evening rush.
In total, this mostly-underground trip through "The City by the Bay" lasts about 15-17 minutes (and vice versa), and gives passengers only a small window of daylight spanning Glen Park and Balboa Park, while running alongside a portion of Interstate 280. As the Millbrae train in this clip departs San Francisco for the peninsula, a 10-car Pittsburg/Bay Point train arrives on the opposite side at Platform 2.
Balboa Park is BART's official southbound transfer point in the city for passengers headed beyond the Daly City terminus toward San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Millbrae. Those travelers can off-board and wait on Platform 1. Embarcadero is the first station in San Francisco -- and first of four in the city's downtown area -- for all destinations coming from the East Bay.
