    Function over form made it ugly. The appeal of the Panigale over the S1KRR or the Japanese bikes was its looks. Now the looks are gone, price isn't justified anymore.

      IMHO it's beautiful. I think it will grow on you like it did on me.

      @@DucatiDiaries nah @ggmm42 is right maybe its better but it looks worse and tbh 99% of riders cant use the full potential of the old panigale so no reason to really change it that drastically. never change a running system isn't just a saying imo. i wanted to buy a new v4 next year but now im forced to get a used 2024 model.

    The 25’ will never look as good as the 24’ but I’ll never argue any decision that results in improvements in performance.

    I couldn't agree more. The last model update always looked too bulky and not as elegant. I liked the original Panigale design, it was more pure. This new model has gone back to sexy simplistic elegance.

    It’s a nice looking design in comparison with other manufacturers. However, I prefer the previous ‘23-‘24 design. That said I wasn’t a fan of the initial design of the previous generation. It wasn’t until it was refined in the later years that I truly loved the design. I think this will be a similar situation. They will refine the design over time and it will be great. I’m waiting to see what the V4R will look like.

      I agree. I like the design but it can use some tweaks. To your point, I'm sure they'll improve it over time.

    I’ve been waiting for this new launch. At first it didn’t impress, but after digesting it for a week I’m actually starting to really like it (just like you said in the video lol). I have a 2024 Panigale V2 Bayliss, it’s the best bike I’ve ever owned. I’m going to pick up this new V4S during the winter, hopefully the tricolore will be coming out.

      Yeah it grew on me too. Now I think the frontend is a big improvement. I wish they still had the SSSA but the DSSA provides a big leap in performance.

    Well, if I need a manual on how to find the new model more beautiful than the previous model it is not convincing by concept. Most Panigalisti prefer the looks of the older version for many reasons. Trying to talk them away makes the impression of „Trust my words more than your eyes and do not think that I have an agenda.“ 😄

    • @DucatiDiaries
      @DucatiDiaries  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I like the old model but I actually like the new model better. Especially the front end. It looks a bit more modern and sleek. And performs better. But I'm sure they'll tweak it over time to make it better looking.

      @@DucatiDiaries Hard to argue about personal tastes and preferences. But you do it and so I try to do it too: Especially the front end is something I dislike at the new model (too wide, very similar to many other bikes like the M1000RR). Felt 80-90% prefer the single sided swing arm over the new one, because it looks technically much more refined and a unique selling proposition of Ducati. Very few Panigalisti I read from see the 0.25 less time on the Nordschleife as a compelling argument for the new double sided swing arm. There are more things to it that make me dislike the new model (again significantly less torque at much higher rpms cannot be compensated by 0.5 more hps for a driver who is rarely on the race track, for example).
      I wonder if Ducati has gained control over the heat dissipation on the left side of the 24 model now for the new model.

    • @DucatiDiaries
      @DucatiDiaries  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@arming.9840 i fully agree on the swing arm. I heard they shaved a full second off lap times somewhere but most riders won't be able to take advantage of it. I am betting it is a noticeable riding difference though. I'll be testing it as soon as it comes in to my NY dealer (likely January) and I'll review it.

    There’s not much to the imagination of bigger screen, some software updates on ugly looking swing arm and red paint so the bike looks like a cross between a Yamaha and a Honda. why am I gonna pay hi insurance policies for Ducati that looks like a Japanese bike are you kidding me?

    • @DucatiDiaries

      Because you want to have one of the most high-tech and capable bikes of all time. IMHO, the bike is beautiful. At first, I wasn't sure but then it definitely grew on me. :-] It's too bad about the swingarm but this bike is far more capable than the previous one.

    You can thank MotoGP for the technical marvel of this bike, also the winglets. That's directly from MotoGP

      I don’t think race success sells bikes as much as some claim. Panache does in most segments, especially this one. We will see how this plays out, but doubt this will be a success and will only sell due to the momentum of the previous V4 design.

      @@cycletexas9157 Where did I say race success = bike sales? Point that part out I'll wait...

      @@Lethal_Venom I didn’t say you said it. It is just a narrative that’s going around. Imagine we are having a conversation. Sucks because I’m a big Ducati fan and want to see them succeed, but I have doubts about this bike from a business standpoint.

    • @Lethal_Venom
      @Lethal_Venom 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cycletexas9157 I agree on that stand point because I do not believe the majority of people buying any bikes look to who won and what bikes they were on in MotoGP or WSB. I believe that’s even more true in the US as motorcycle racing is not heavily followed as it is in Europe. Which is unfortunate as the NFL / NBA are absolute trash

    Very cool but I will skip this one. Unless you’re planning to take full advantage of the new V4’s racing pedigree on the track, you might find that its performance, cost, and comfort levels don’t align with our average needs as a non-racing riders. There are other motorcycles better suited to our intended use that provide a more exhilarating and practical experience.

    The Panigale headlights mimic in angry bees eyes really to strike and sting you when your not looking. On the price I assume you have two choices $26,000 or $34,000 for the S version.
