So true, my parents have been married for 41 years, happily. My dad told me he married his best friend. My mom told me once, your father and I would be together all the time. We had side friends but your father and I were mostly together all the time and still are to this day. They explored life together. No games, no questions, just simply being together as one. I think when you know, you just know and there will be no question about it. Each relationship is about learning and growing. Some hurt more than others but at least you get to discover what you don't want and what you really desire in life. When a guy pushes me away, it hurts but it also gives me time to really reflect on what I really want and why I'm with them to begin with - is this good for me? Take time for yourself ladies and take care of YOU! :) The right one will be coming down the line soon enough.

So true, my parents have been married for 41 years, happily. My dad told me he married his best friend. My mom told me once, your father and I would be together all the time. We had side friends but your father and I were mostly together all the time and still are to this day. They explored life together. No games, no questions, just simply being together as one. I think when you know, you just know and there will be no question about it. Each relationship is about learning and growing. Some hurt more than others but at least you get to discover what you don't want and what you really desire in life. When a guy pushes me away, it hurts but it also gives me time to really reflect on what I really want and why I'm with them to begin with - is this good for me? Take time for yourself ladies and take care of YOU! :) The right one will be coming down the line soon enough.

I think men are just lacking respect for women these days. They can use online resources to find any woman they want to fulfill their current needs which in my eyes equals being used. They rope you into a 'relationship' with their wooing period and then show their true colors after a while. My feeling is: if he's putting me on this emotional roller coaster, what will it be like in the long run? And that's even if it lasts a while. Is this the real him? So, all in all, it's just a game because these 'men' are really playing around and taking their time. A marriage can look scary and complicated, along with having kids so it's a lifetime commitment and they are just scared. I see men ruining relationships all the time because they are scared. Guess what happens next? They regret losing you.....hence, now they miss you because they have 'changed'. They haven't matured enough to find their soulmate. So, why waste your time? Not everyone is meant to be. Just learning experiences to take with you on your journey in life.
Starfish that’s why it’s best for women’s not to take a man serious until marriage proposal/marriage. God & Our ancestors understand this and it was for our women’s protection. Now me personally have been played and used and left with a child. If I had waited & protected myself I wouldn’t be where I am. I have learned the nature of men now and careful.

He broke up with me,and I went in “no contact “ he comes back a month later ,saying his sorry and to forgive him,and saying he is not ready for commitment however he likes me and finds me attractive and to go back to where we were.

I don't even know why I'm here, my relationship is of years and is pretty great. We're going to be married. I've never really thought hard about doing everything right, and I'm wondering "Do we do these things? Is this why it is working?" I'm pretty consumed with starting my own business and spend a lot of time with friends- maybe too much. During our rougher days in the past I got back into dating alarmingly fast- he learned he hurts bad without me and I will find someone else quick. I think I do do all of the things this man suggests in ways, and it DOES work for us.
Love yourself. Don't question if you're "worth loving." Take care of your body- it shows you care about yourself which makes other people want to care about you. (It encouraged my guy to start working out. ;) Set boundaries- don't wait up for him all night if you miss him, give him a straight "Goodnight, hope you have fun with your friends!" and go on without him. He'll be back to spend more time with you. You both need time apart to grow as people.
What if you have shown him your " dark side" after being sugar and spice for almost 2 years...and then something comes up and he sees you get really angry with him, and he wries you a good bye forever text???
He'll get over it.... and he'll miss the 2 yrs of you that were great. He was just worked up when he sent it, and was probably just being extra dramatic. We all do that in the heat of the moment. Curious to know if you're back together now? or was the "good bye" actually forever?

Distancing doesn’t always work if he never actually cared about you in the beginning. After his possessive ex blocked me from replying to him on Messenger, I don’t think he’s ever coming back. Now I got my Facebook deactivated and had gone offline on Messenger so I can peacefully move on just so to ease the pain.

Hello Mr. Alex. My 17 yr relatio ship ended after our dog passed. He passed away Oct 10th 2022, then 4 days later the b/friend said he was done too. He said " but I'll always be your frien" I was in shock! He has not contacted me since Nov 7th. There was no fighting, no arguing at all. But it was distant on both parts. But I don't understand why he hasn't checked on me. Very bizarre. I only cry for my dog. I know this has w be the hardest comment 4 you. Why didn't he say it was over way b4 17 yrs. Just wow
