I'm not sure I understand your question The handle can be moved to the other side for Left handed operation on some reels However the spool on every fishing reel does not turn
To mechanically modify an existing right hand cranking spincasting reel to rotate the spool in the opposite direction than it does manufactured. Thus the reel, if hanging underneath the rod in line retrieving position, mimicking a spinning reel, would be able to retrieve line therefore left-handed, by such described modification, if, possible.
There are several closed face reels out there that sit underneath a spinning rod like the abumatic 505 Shakespeare made some years ago and there are trigger spin reels that do that as well The Johnson century can be used as an underpin as well If what you propose is possible you would have to cast the reel with it on top and flip it to the bottom to retrieve Why anyone would want to fish like that is beyond my understanding Seems so awkward and backwards to me
@@NLoutside75 I have several underspin trigger spin reels right now at this time of writing. I've owned approximately 50 of these throughout my fishing years. I surmise you haven't made such a modification to a spincasting reel yet.
@@noryaa4194 I've been using only spin cast reels since I was a kid I've never attempted to do this I can turn a reel upside down and turn the handle backwards to retrieve I would never do this if course and I'd never use it if I could turn the handle forward To me this makes no sense to want to do this It's an interesting idea to see if it was possible which I really doubt it's possible I think you are trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist Something to think ab Thanks for your comment
Is it possible to convert it so that the handle turns the spool in the opposite rotation?
