Then Sora comes back in KH2 stays for a few months then leaves with a note about a keyblade master trial or whatever. Then she heard nothing until Kairi comes and tells her about him essentially fading away into atoms and apparently being in another dimension but Riku is going there to bring him back home. Actually that last one was probably a little hard on Kairi and Sora's mom.
