Look-wise the ionic5 all day long. I love the apoearemce. Im looking for an EV now and this is at the top of tje list. I still think that the price is too hefty as with all EVs
Look for an off lease one as used prices have dropped. Still in warranty, low miles, excellent features for up to 40% less. You are welcomed. Happy hunting!
Ioniq 5 was the right choice for me. Charges faster when DC fast charging, I like that it has physical buttons, and I love the styling of it. I only have a very little bit of time inside the Tesla Model Y but it is frustrating that even to open the glovebox you have to use the touchscreen.
Would you buy a solar generator like a jackery, charge it with cigarette lighter while driving, then use the solar generator to charge the car when not in use?
Ok I really like the 5 exterior styling, interior needs work, I think they should just focus on the 5 drop the 6 which looks like an ford Taurus, but none of these compare to a tesla. Yet the 5 is my next favourite exterior look
For the interior and quality probably the ionic for just range and having a better charging infrastructure model y I just can't get over the Teslas having no physical buttons and their atrocious build quality
I have the 2022 USA’s SE version long range model. In August of 2022 this was the lowest cost long range fast DC charging, full of safety features EV. It’s is also the most efficient as to miles per KWh. In my view the upgrades that people are attracted push the cost higher and lowers efficiency. The dual motor I venture to say for flat landers, city dwellers is not required. There is no Magic as for most driving only the rear wheels are engaged. It’s been almost a year, no regrets. I do recommend to Hyundai to have the key fob operate the lift gate. I have only the button on the lift gate. The extra nice, but in my case not needed, ability to have an electric outlet, Vehicle to Load, is there but I have to buy the adapter. It’s so quiet, love the LKA feature abd like all EVs, I leave the headlight switch in ON to have all lights 100% when driving. Great safety mode. I wonder why the Ioniq 5 and 6 do not sell at higher rates. Lack of promotion?

I had test drive on both cars for 4 hours, and I brought a inoic 5 two weeks ago, it’s a better car to drive ,more room and a lot more comfortable inside the car, but of course if I’m a Uber driver I will choose the Tesla
It’s about the horses for me. I rather have the passing power than all the luxury bell and whistles. AWD is better in the snow and resale value is better too .
Last fall I was at my local Hyundai body shop and guess what was there? A crashed I5 from speeding and aggressive style driving. Online search reveals most I5 are crashed in this fashion: higher power and desire to pass everyone on the road. Drive safely❤❤

'tesla build quality' complaints TODAY? lol. that's like STILL going off on ford because they built the pinto. I've been to fremont factory- I walked & INSPECTED 100's of Y's & 3's, checked with my little wood wedge for accurate panel gaps. not a reject in sight. you'll notice that the nay sayers NEVER want to talk about the fact that kwh per mile efficiency puts the vw TO SHAME... in HOT or cold weather, hills or flat, 55mph or 70- apples for apples? vw doesn't even belong in the same playing field as tesla. add in legacy auto's pathetic charger network? YOU JUST BOUGHT A BILL OF GOODS. add in the model S & X 1st edition that are maxing out at 400 to 500k miles? VW just dropped out of the race.
I will take delivery of my ioniq 5 Dynamic this week. Chose it over a Model Y for build quality, looks and physical buttons inside.
