The scanner redesign is my favorite! I also really like the fotus redesign as well, you managed to make a really wild design fit in nicely with Infinite's aesthetic

I feel like if you took a different approach, the Fotus could've made good Tenrai helmet and kept the more 'ornate' and fantastical bits of the design and stayed more true to the original feel.
Another excellent video from you. The Fotus redesign was pretty awesome, and gives it a bit of an aggressive and bulky look that just feels more at home with a game where the main enemies are raging space gorillas. I didn't expect this helmet in particular to be one thatI would truly like, due to the original being a bit much for my personal aesthetic tastes. The Scanner helmet too was a great one. I never had much of a problem with it originally aside from it being a bit busy and not really emphasising the visor much, and the redesign cleaned it up. The redesigned scanner without the actual scanner looks really cool and I definitely wouldn't mind rocking that.
excellent work once again! i think out of these my two favorites are cinder and fotus, for how you were able to adapt them to a different art direction :3 they still evoke the original designs while doing something a little more in the vein of infinite's look, which is very impressive. cant wait for the next project ! ;3
I like how you kept the forerunner/human hybrid angular look to the fotus helmet, would like to see the hellcat armor and prefect armors in infinites style to capture more direct forerunner and ancient human designs in infinite/h4 style
you should do videos on larger topics in the universe, like a video on lesser seen factions or something. Would be cool to see you put together an aesthetic for a handful of insurrectionists from different rebel cells or maybe jackal pirates or something. Might be a lot of work but might be fun.
As per usual, you've knocked these out of the *PARK!* I personally think the FOTUS horn should be a bit longer, though. But I can adjust to this smaller size - looks more rhino-esque than unicorn-inspired. 343 *REALLY* should hire you and give you all the creative freedom in designing new armour and redesigning old ones!
I have an interesting idea to see you draw, reverse-engineered enemy weapons. Like what would a unsc plasma rifle or needler look like. Or a human shotgun made into a brute weapon. I think it would be a fun twist and lore expansion about experimental weapons. And elites with human weapons are surprisingly more deadly (in reach firefight) so it would be fun to hear elites coveted human weaponry.
An idea i had for the FOTUS attachment, is playing into the fact that ‘FOTUS’ is the like goofy/non-canon manufacturer in the game, and the horn of the helmet could be a attachment for all helmets lol
Hard to pick a favorite from such great options! But, I love Buccaneer, Fotus, and Scanner. When I first discovered the concept art for Scanner, I really wished we could take off the attachment (even if it's the whole point of the helmet). I'd really love to see you tackle the Raijin helmet sometime. It's easily my favorite helmet from Halo 5 and, if it ever came to Infinite, I'd hope it would be free and if not, I'd actually consider buying it!

What if instead of the fotus being a helmet for the mark 7, it was a helmet for the rakshasa core and the horn attachment was a trophy stuck onto it? We see rakshasa spartans using covenant armor as their own or skulls as trophies. And with some of the higher rank elite and brute helmets having horns they could definitely take it as their own. Might be a more organic way than what I could only justify as the unsc making a basically bayonet for a helmet.
Honestly I kill for more spartan armor that has covenant/banished armor pieces slapped on, like the elite general helmet or hunter spines. Those brute shoulder pads and Doisac's kiss are really cool.

Going through your redesigns: (in my own opinion with respect of course) Pathfinder - Pretty solid. I guess i would describe the visor being closer to a smashed Y but other than visor shape; basic yet solid. 8/10 Scanner - Pretty much perfect. And attachment idea even better. 10/10 would wear. Cinder - Close and definitely a challenge. Im unsure if making it a Yoroi core helmet would've allowed you to lose the lip, but i do find it to be my core disagreement with the redesign. Just the ability to take that off as an attachment would feel a lot closer to the og. 7/10 Fotus - Man did you go for some challenges. My first idea was to make a basic helmet and add a shop item like bunny ears. Aside from that, I love the base helmet and ability to take it off. Now the horn is understandabley shorter which i do enjoy, however i wonder how it'd look as straight versus curved. As is it reminds me of more of a rhino horn than unicorn. If this made it to the game I would like the horn you have as an option because I do like it though. 7/10. Buccaneer - Pretty solid again. I haven't looked at the other SPI helmets in a bit to see how different this one is to justify inclusion, but it's a good design, an interesting helmet style/attachment option, and fits incedibly well with the armor core style. Also I liked your commentary about the general challenge of "porting" these into Halo Infinite with the more realistic armor versus what Halo 5 had. It takes a lot to interpret them without losing their spirit and look. I'm happy that so far the Infinite helmets we do have, have been so faithful if not better in Infinite and I feel a lot of your designs would match that with me and the community at large. All bangers, as usual, but especially Fotus. The horn went from "random spike" to very "commander antenna", amd the whole package just looks very reinforced and hard to break.
While Scanner is my favorite of this bunch (with or without the attachment, I can't quite decide, because the name doesn't make much sense without the Scanner piece but it shows off this really cool combination of the mouth piece and visor shape), the Pathfinder redesign has had the most interesting effect to me. Something about it looks really well guarded against the environment and in combination with those prominent ear muffs bringing the idea of comms to mind, its name fits so much better with it than the original. The only thing missing to perfect that effect would be a sensor suite attachment of some kind.
Excellent redesigns! I can honestly see the base for both Cinder and Buccaneer as Halo 3 helmet choices, and the Fotus redesign for Halo Online. Keep up the amazing work you do and I definitely hear you about university I feel so behind on channels I follow cause most screen time is just for work or school work, but you got a life too and loyal fans understand that and don't trip.

I think it would've been pretty cool to have Forus part of the Raksasha core. The horn could be a real horn, or one fashioned from Covenant armor plating.
I'm very much glad that you're expanding the versatility of these helmet designs for the other cores 👏👏👏 I also believe that thos opens up more flexibility for the really round ones to work with the other cores like Chimera and Yoroi.
I’ve always liked the Scanner Helmet but I could never get it to look good with the armor that I liked but if it had looked like your redesign I would’ve rarely used a different helmet. Makes me wish it actually was in Halo Infinite and looked similar to your design. Your cinder redesign kinda reminds me of the Forerunner helmets from Halo Legends.
So, I think in future, definitely attach the helmets to whatever core you're implementing them with, it makes the design feel so much more complete than a floating helmet. (Not that the floating helmets aren't gorgeous in and of themselves. They are.)
Always love the redesigns for the helmets you tackle. Fotus is one of my least favorite helmets, primarily because of that ridiculous horn. So you doing what you did made me really like the helmet now.
Fotus went from looking like a unicorn, magical and completely unrealistic, to looking like a rhinoceros, powerful and bulky.

Fotus has to be my favorite of these. Because I actually like the redesign, while I absolutely despise the original.
Buccaneer was already my favorite armor in Halo 5 and your redesign is perfect and wish it was actually in Halo Infinite
