Regarding Oregon beaches, most of the coastline is beach, and it all depends on what you're fixing to do. Wherever you go, the water is quite cold for swimming, as the current has just swept down from Alaska, making sure that hypothermia sets in rapidly. Still, folks do go swimming, mostly native juveniles that don't know anything better. I have seen surfers up around Cannon Beach a lot, and they always wear wet suits. Tide pools are scattered along as many miles as are the sandy beaches, and are always a delight to juvenile marine biologists, and other curious folk. Then there are other curiosities like the Devil's Punchbowl and the sea lion caves. But really, sea lions can be seen scattered all along the coast, the caves are just where you may get closer, as well as the docks at Newport. So as far as Oregon beaches, you will have to start at Astoria, at the mouth of the Columbia River and go south to California. You'll see it all and find your own special place.
the beaches on the gulf coast are the prettiest emerald and turquoise waters
New Jersey beaches along the coast should be all inclusive as all beaches (The Shore).
