@@dygdk Just have fun. Getting high helps a ton, because it makes you slow down and focus. I learned my racing lines thanks for that. I was always driving like a maniac till I took my time to learn a driving line. Now Im suprisingly quick! I started on f1 2020 then moved to iracing where I shot up in irating.
I think these may be my favourite videos on TH-cam at the moment. Managing to make me jealous of even my VR immersion! Picking up a few típs for where I'm going wrong or just slow in my own laptimes, so many thanks for that on top of the fun content!
That overtake was epic! Also, the replay cam in the right bottom corner was great. The only problem is I couldn't chose between watching the awesome replay or concentrate on the live action. I ended up rewinding and watching both haha 😄
Yea Nice setup! This really feels like you are in a real race (cockpit) & the car looks as u can feel the tires scrubbing on the track (not like that icy feeling in others) Also the engine, tranny, on-road, off-road & wind noise fx all sound dang good & life like. Great Video!
I think it's way more enjoyable watching your videos than doing a race like this myself! I especially love the effect of the cars ahead hitting the rivers going across the track

The difference is just how the camera interacts with the screens. Try turning your game saturation down a bit too though. It looks very cartoony at default settings.
Pretty amazing stuff and raised an interesting question...would I rather spend my money travelling to a race and watching live, or investing in a set-up like this for my own (continued) use??? Technology will continue to improve rapidly and further blur the line between simulation and reality. The next big step is to continue to improve the sense of depth perception, which here is the best I've seen yet, but still very tough to match being in your own vehicle and observing the real world.
Zandvoort is a heck of a track even under optimal conditions, but this race in the wet was amazing! That was clean racing under the slick conditions. Well done m8!
16:00 Great driving! It seems that you were faster during the slow sections of the track but couldn't push equally hard as the two cars in front of you in faster sections. Were you running with more wing? The sim setup is so good that it's rediculous.
Hey there Will!🙂Great driving as usual, looking more realistic with every video🤩Maybe I can help you with a little piece of advice to make it look even better. I am not sure if you are aware of this (maybe you wanted that look for some particular reason or it was a simple mistake) but if you press pause you will see the wipers getting duplicated. That means everything is getting duplicated while moving and that results in a blurry image. Had that problem while I was filming a race. The solution was to export the video from a video editing software and choosing progressive (not lower or upper field). I hope this helps 😘

The thing that is making it immersive to look at isit the monitor resolution or the camera that is recording it will?? Or mayb its the shaders,brightness,contrast that makes it just spot on to look at
that was a very great driving there, but if I'd point something out, in turn 1 you seem to break as soon as he breaks, the way you overtook him at turn 1 was actually the best way to take turn 1
Was thinking the same, he didn't overtake because he was faster but simply because he waited a half second longer to brake and took the inside, could have probably done the same exact thing earlier but the final lap made him hungry enough to go for it.
I've watched a few of your vids and it looks like you're turning into most corners too early, you move the wheel, pause or even turn slightly back then turn hard again. maybe give it a 10th longer so you can do a full rotation without the mid pause on the wheel. Hope it helps, great content!!
It's the fact that the sim is so high fidelity, all we have left to address is driving techniques. Is amazing. Technology and money is so impressive as someone who started with F1 1999.
Usually go about half way for traction in the wet for most cars. ABS is always cranked max in dry or wet. I only have real car experience, but I'm loving sim racing!
Come on now. The video does look very realistic, but you still can tell that it is a sim. Saw the new UE5 engine demo today and maan it seems the future is really here. The next-gen sim racing titles might be truly photo-realistic.

Haha! Yeah we had to find a balance there. We used to have it more distorted but then people complained about it so we landed here.

The car wheels on this game are nailed to the track. They never lose traction and slide no matter how hard I tried.
zandvoort is one of my fav tracks, it's got hints of tsukuba and nordschlife, just the perfect balance of high speed section and tight corners

Thanks. It seems to be a feature of the raw GoPro footage as it’s there pre-render but I’ll do some more experimenting tomorrow :)
