@@brianchristine9301 Yep. I saw a couple of opportunities where he could have hit the brakes late to take the inside lead when he got into top 3, but I'm guessing he wanted to eke out the intensity a bit leading into the final lap, because the two guys in first and second were making a ton of early-braking and wide apex mistakes that he could have (and later did) capitalize on. But then the race wouldn't have been as intense.
I loved the camera view, but it seemed that view angle comes from driver helmet and if so, usually there are not so much tremors, as our body and/or neck can soften the vibrations a bit. all the tremors make it look like the cam is taking the tremors directly from car chassis. But graphics and overall video quality looks amazing. Really awsome and intense video :)

@@ryanpauloneeyed9669 I agree with you. Don't get me wrong, Will is a far better driver than I am by a long shot, but he does tend to push situations that shouldn't be pushed. For instance, it seems like he has a tendency to push the front corner of his car into the inside of the corners, where he's in the rear bumper space of the car in front (his front bumper is on the inside of the back bumper of the front car), and then stay there. This causes crashes. You're not close enough for the car in front to realize your car is there, so naturally they're going to turn into the apex which would end up spinning their car. You should either be half a car length into the car in front so they see you in the mirrors and/or their window, or you back off and wait. This is an AI race which helps him because AI knows he's there, if this was a live race I guarantee cars would have been spinning on a few occasions simply because they wouldn't have known his bumper is next to their car. Also, bump drafting is when you hit the back of the car square on, when he did a 'bump draft' tapping the corner of the car in front, it was more of a pit maneuver that you would do to spin the other car. I'm being 'judgy' right now, and again I'm not saying Will sucks at racing, etc., but there are things here and his other AI races that would definitely cause a crash in corners.

I've never been particularly in to racing but the second half of this race was incredibly intense and the immersion was fantastic, I feel like I get it now. I'm so much more excited to get my wheel.
That’s some impressive neck-to-neck battle. Like others have said, the immersion was great for viewers and somehow my head tend to tilt in each and every corner, end up having a slight sore neck at the end of the video. Imagine the intensity and ‘G-force’ you experienced in the race. Dude drive really well while having commentary on the fly that immediately reminds me of those people hear in motorsport event. 👍
Your immersion level is just crazy at this point! At 10:00 you notice the rear getting sketchy. This could be multiple things: 1. You have lost the freshness of those (I assume) soft tires. They are super sticky initially. AMS2 setup guy Steelcast27 said that it's about 3 to 4 laps of hard driving and you start seeing the effects of a used tire. People spinning out etc. Setups can mitigate the effects. 2. Bathurst by nature seems to punish the rear tires quite a bit once you start driving as fast as yourself here. So you might have an inherent front/rear tire temperature imbalance which could degrade the rear tires faster (it's not only about overall wear with Madness) and they could also overheat easier leading to fishy behaviour. 3. Maybe you've slowly built up excess rear tire temperature from brakes bleeding heat into the tires along multiple laps. And they just have a worse contact patch from over inflation. 4. Track conditions changing like you said. 5. Many or all of the above at the same time. Changing brake bias seems like a good idea to cope with it. Another is to up TC level via the ICM (9 or 10) to let the rears cool down without punishing them too much during exits. Maybe something you could incorporate into your videos in the future? Keeping an eye on the tire temperatures in cars where that information is available through the virtual LCD. Or overall tire management.

The light movements in the cab, across the dash, the changing light conditions, that’s what stood out for me from the perspective of immersion. The computation required must be something else.

Great drive, impressive sim and what a top track Bathurst is. Many years ago I was a race photographer and did Bathurst many times for the Porsche Cup, Supercars, V8 Utes etc. Once I was driven around it for some recon laps by a mate driving a GT3 in the Porsche Cup - that was pretty exciting! His GT3 had only 1 seat so we took out a V8 Falcon of the day and drove it very hard indeed! Thanks for this mate and well done! Cheers from Sydney - Dave

I never played Automobilista 2 (nor the 1 tbh) but i'm an amateur-arcade-padgeek-autogears drive games lover, like DiRT serie, Forza Horizon serie etc., but this game looks to me truly next level not only about the graphic but also relatively to the core gameplay. Seems amazing and i bet feels even better than it looks just from de video. Surely the headset + steering wheel and pedal board is truly the gamechanger here. Never had them but looking about the fun you get driving with i can just hope to have the opportunity to play the same way one day. Possibly with this amazing Automobilista 2, ofc ! 😉🤙🏻 Congrats, great video and stunning performance, truly enjoyed all the race. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I am impressed. I've driven speedster sims that require focus, but this is probably the first driver that felt like a ride. Not sure how they did it, but the physics, POV and rendering challenged disbelief the throughout, the kind where you have to remind yourself it's the player, not a team, that calculated the fuel. And a worthy battle the whole way. Five stars. Five stars, you got it. Very nice. Its a new level.

Wow. That was definitely a great race. Movie-esque
Unbelievable race, had me in the edge of my seat those last few minutes
The light movements in the cab, across the dash, the changing light conditions, that’s what stood out for me from the perspective of immersion. The computation required must be something else.
Brilliant! Love the day to night racing, especially on the Mountain.
I thought the hands and the steering wheel were part of the game and you were using a VR headset lol Amazing simulation. The angle of view is perfect. We want other circuits like that !
I had no idea it wasn't until I read this.
Best virtual race I’ve ever watched. I was glued to the screen and found myself shouting “up the inside” and such. Close racing, great driving skills. Nice one mate.
Some incredible driving. Very intense fighting and amazing vehicle control. That was a blast to watch!
Loved it when you finally got the lead. Some, edge of your seat anxious moments. Even though its a Sim, it is still some good racing. Very Cool!!!!!
This is sim racing at it's purest form. Loved every second of it!
This is insane! Looks so real.
Is this game ?
@@christeuma8499 Yes, obviously😂
Fantastic vid brother 👍. Awesome battles all the way through. Now that is entertainment 😁. Would like more frequent rear view glances though 😉 (the mirror is out of sight). Dash position is spot on. Thanks for the hard work getting these realistic angles Will, I know it ain't easy. Can't wait to see what's next bro🤘.
Forever Racing 🏁
THAT WAS EPIC!!!! Your heart must have ben going at 200 + beats per minute. Well done
Amazing race, the SIM is spot on! Love the rearview mirror and wing mirrors, just immersive and realistic well done for putting together pal! 👍🏼
this is problably the best sim race i've ever seen... what a battle!!! it's mesmerizing, nice job!
WOW!!! Can't close my mouth! This is defenitly the most realistic game ever I've seen. And your run was awesome!
One of the best races I ever saw.
Hands down the most realistic race i've ever witnessed in a Simulator. !!!! Kudos !!!!
One of the best sim race I've ever seen mate, amazing !
rig and camera so immersive also this race was like God send ....everyone racing like gods of sim I call it ( MASTERS )
That was crazy, cant wait to see this get more advanced and cheaper.
I just imagine like a simulation room just for gta, has a rig and combines with vr and other accessories
Really enjoyed this race it felt like the real thing. Thanks for this
This is what real racing
Is about being in the action and not over taking so easy like
Some driving game do
Look forward to seeing
More like these.👍🙂
The AI love that wall 😂
Great drive, impressive sim and what a top track Bathurst is. Many years ago I was a race photographer and did Bathurst many times for the Porsche Cup, Supercars, V8 Utes etc. Once I was driven around it for some recon laps by a mate driving a GT3 in the Porsche Cup - that was pretty exciting! His GT3 had only 1 seat so we took out a V8 Falcon of the day and drove it very hard indeed! Thanks for this mate and well done! Cheers from Sydney - Dave
That was flat out killer, man. I was only gonna watch a couple of laps and ended up stayin for the whole thing. You spanked his ass on that last lap a little bit, the McClaren, lol.
That was the best fight for positions I've seen in simracing yet!
I really wish I could try playing this simulation. But even my laptop is lagging just trying to play this video at 60fps.
This is by far one of the best simulation AND race i've ever seen so far. 😉🤙🏻
Congrats, great video and stunning performance, truly enjoyed all the race. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i was nervous watching it and there were moments when I was afraid that the cars would come into contact. it was a very brave job, you never quit. I admire your perseverance, congratulations, man
Most intense gamplay I have ever seen and it took me time to realise what is real and what isnt. Very well done👍
This is one of the most intense gameplay racing i've ever seen in my goddamn life. And you my friend you deserve a big subscribe there for this beautiful and glorious racing you just did right there.
Great camera angle! Very immersive! Amazing video👍 …and great driving skills as well 💪
Oh my god. This is look almost the exact as real life!
That was intense! What a great balance between the Mclarens, BMWs, and Porsche.
