The scream after falling near the end of the route could be felt through the screen, can't imagine being right there. What a great job Alex, you are insane! Great video and climb.
Geil, geil, geil!!!! Da kann man echt stolz sein, dass so jemand wie du unsere deutsche Kletterszene vertrittst. Fantastisch gefilmt... und in diesem Schrei lag all das Herzblut für diesen sagenhaften Sport!❤
Beautiful. Alex climbing is so great to watch. And Alex is such a nice guy. I now feel an irresistible need to go climbing, ... on my trivial routes .🤣
That was the most epic climbing video i have ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes for some reason. The passion, the scream when you fell, the send, then thanking the filmer. Bro you are so humble, and strong as heck!! Very inspiring!
Hey man, congrats. People may wonder just what climbing gives to others and see it as something fundamentally self-centered. It may even be, but I can say that your success here and sharing it lifted my spirit today. People “doing the impossible” is a contradiction; the joy comes from seeing someone do something very, very hard and help to change the dimensions of what is impossible. It is a joy to share parts of your journey.
Loved this style. Only feedback I would give is to give the entirety of the redpoint. Us climbers want to see it from the dirt, not edited, to the chains. For example in the jug / rail after the top crux, when Alex is shaking out with the little kneebar he’s far above and right of the last clipped bolt. Not a great rest position and it would have been cool to see the sequence from there including the clip and traverse, rather than cut it out. Same for the opening section under the full no hands ledge. Feedback only meant to be constructive. Loved it, so thank you 🙏
I think there's plenty of room for great edits like this _and_ "uncut" video releases. I like it when the camera work, coloring, and sound come together to stir emotions in me. I also take perverse pleasure in watching someone sit in a comfy kneebar for two whole minutes resting.
Of course there has to be this comment ... "Us climbers" want to watch a video that gets us psyched. This video gets me fu**in psyched! If this video doesn't get you psyched, there's something wrong with you ;) Thank god not all climbing flicks are "raw send" clips. A good edit is a good edit. And this is a good edit. (Agree with the cut-out part after the kneebar rest, though. Would've liked to see it, but I guess they had their reasons to cut it out? Probably pulled on a quickdraw ... )
Would love to see a video explaining the reasoning and technique behind trimming the shoe rubber. Im sure there are many other little tricks like this that average climbers (such as myself) are not aware of. Awesome climbing as always!
I'm very happy for your send Alex, this video shows how much you put on it, how much you want it. Also congratulations to the camera guys, they did something amazing and real in such a short time. But more than anything huge congratulations to Chris Sharma for finding, imagining and bolting that line on one of the most iconic walls of one of the most iconic crags in the world. So happy to see that the Lion is awake and the cubs are crushing and hungry. Alex, when will you come to Mallorca and try some DWS? All the best for you.
Could you make an "Enjoy Sleeping Lion" with cool sections of the climb in a Kilter replica, please? I loved trying "Enjoy Bibliographie" and my ultimate Kilter goal is "The Real Bibliographie". Thanks for the video and inspiration!
Absolutely stunning. stuff like this inspire so many people to push harder. That scream of joy at the end -it was beautiful and i can help but smile so damm much. Awsome job Alex
Your climbing is beautiful. A visual pleasure. Love to see you including heels and knees more often recently, they look great in you, in my humble opinion. Thanks for the videos and agree with another comment... would be great to learn stuff about gear like trimming shoes, equipment, tricks... Cheers and congratulations!!!
Watching Alex climb is the only climber that makes me want to climb. On a negative, the people below shouting make me want to sit down. Just chill and let him climb.
“One man’s pain is the next man’s pleasure.” - I actually love that about climbing videos/community. It always puts a smile on my face to hear the bystanders supporting the climber. They could mind their own business and do something else but instead they choose to take the time to watch and encourage Alex. That’s amazing in my eyes.
@ if someone is shouting at me I’m not going to give 100%. I very much enjoy climbing without constant reassurance for every hold I touch. I’m climbing a wall, leave me alone.
Brilliant. All I need! footage so crisp and great edit. Looking so strong Megos. What a history you have with that wall! Would love to know what you consider the hardest 9b you have sent. Thanks Alex and Marco
About video: wow… PS: Even if you decide to break up with rock climbing - you will always be wanted as the frontman of some metalcore band, you screaming skills are awesome 😄
Siurana is the most beautiful climbing area I’ve ever been to. The surrounding landscape and the enticing walls, and the long routes 🤩 If I just was a better climber. It’s just not that much below 7a if you’re staying more than a week.
Nice video and ascent! Interesting noise during the first try in the video. Do people not stop talking (or at least try to be more quiet) if someone is doing a try nowadays?
That's how the first ascent was made, so it makes sense to repeat in that way. It seems very far on the right, but climbing wise it actually makes sense and feels logical
Fantastic, I prefer this kind of videos a couple of weeks after the send rather than ultrapolished commercial videos 6 months after, when everyone has totally forgot about it
Thanking the camera man first after sending 9b+ is truly next level
According to Megos, it’s a 9b ;)
I know but the moment he sent it it was gaded 9b+ by the only ascentionist.
Anyways, it’s amazing no matter the grade :)
@@user-bx4zq7fx7e agreed, truly amazing!
Gotta be polite 😊
This was class act 🙏
No epic over dramatic 1 year wait for a climbing video! Wow what a standard to be setting, even more impressive than the climb!
Facts facts facts. Send and post. Thats it
Haha 😂 thanks. It'll not always be like that but we tried to be quick 😉🙏🏼
Are you the one climbing?????? No then shhhhhhhhh. Take your time be safe and put out good videos!!!!!!!! Great job!!!!
Congratulations!
Great send
Wow, what a perfection!!! The route itself, Alex climbing, camera work... Everything!! Never enjoyed a climbing video as this one!! :)))
The scream after falling near the end of the route could be felt through the screen, can't imagine being right there. What a great job Alex, you are insane! Great video and climb.

Beautiful. Alex climbing is so great to watch. And Alex is such a nice guy. I now feel an irresistible need to go climbing, ... on my trivial routes .🤣
There are no trivial routes 😊 they are all good
Yeah that’s the attitude. There’s shit routes to be fair but even those are better than no climbing at all!!
This is climbing video perfection. The climber, the route, and the landscape. Beautiful route and epic send 💯 congratulations!
And let's not forget about all the people on the ground cheering for the one going up. Climbing spirit par excellence.

He didn't even spend much time on the project. Why would he cheat the early send?
why would he cheat a send he didnt pull on a quickdraw lol get a grip @@masterpropper2485
@@masterpropper2485 There's absolutely no way Alex pulled on a quickdraw, but I agree! Would've liked to see it
This was incredibly inspiring, well done. And thanking the camera man was really sweet haha
Huge respect, Man, what an awesome route. You are one of the best out there, world's elite, no doubt about it. I'm happy for you. :)
Einfach nur genial! Super gut mit der Musik. Danke fürs zeigen! :)
Thank you for releasing these! Video quality is just perfect
Who made the cut at 10:56?! I felt like that was the most intense part of the climb, we didn't get to see how Alex clipped in that kneebar!
Agreed or the cut after
At 11:18
Let's go! Übel nices Video mal wieder! Wie immer ein richtiges Beast!
Would love to see a video explaining the reasoning and technique behind trimming the shoe rubber. Im sure there are many other little tricks like this that average climbers (such as myself) are not aware of. Awesome climbing as always!
Maybe one day we'll do a little video about stuff like that
Great & beautiful film that told a tale of determination and skill - thanks to Alex for climbing and to Marco & Andre for the cinematic filming.
Such flow! So impressive. Footwork so dialed. Beautifully shot and edited as well. Way to go, Alex 💪💪

Congratulations to Marco and Andre for the amazing prod and obviously to Alex for the crazy and so satisfying ascent!!
Love the video style. Clear, shows the process, and we can focus on how you're moving on the wall
holy so quickly after you first visited, crazy strength.
The lion sleeps no longer! 😅 Bravo, Alex!🎉
What a masterclass. This should be on every teaching on how to climb efficiently.
Very good camera work and edit, bravo Alex, Marco and André!
Perfect performance Alex. Nice to watching yours precisious delicate climbing style. Congratulations!

You never climbed at your absolute limit no? Encouraging shouts can give you the last few % sometimes...
@ if someone is shouting at me I’m not going to give 100%. I very much enjoy climbing without constant reassurance for every hold I touch. I’m climbing a wall, leave me alone.
I will try shaving my climbing shoes on my next 6b project, seems to work 🤓
Scream sinced with the bass drop made me smile, wholesome editing! And Alex is here as a bonus =D
Gratz on taming this beast, Alex :)
Really good production and camera work on this one!
The cheers from Chris were chefs kiss
A legend at work!

I was close to skipping my hangboard repeater session today but Alex got me more than hyped to go all in and give it everything🦍
6:37 at that point the lion wasn't sleeping anymore

Impressive climbing and great video!🚀
It's such an incredible line. Congrats dude
Nice video and ascent! Interesting noise during the first try in the video. Do people not stop talking (or at least try to be more quiet) if someone is doing a try nowadays?
Positives Feedback!
10:47 is that allowed? (To go to a “good” rest 3m away from the route line)
That's how the first ascent was made, so it makes sense to repeat in that way. It seems very far on the right, but climbing wise it actually makes sense and feels logical
Fantastic, I prefer this kind of videos a couple of weeks after the send rather than ultrapolished commercial videos 6 months after, when everyone has totally forgot about it
I loved when you had the first fall, everyone got quite and you shouted fxxk. It was very emotional.
favorite climber!
perfect climbing, congratulations !
Hell yeah Alex…..congrats dude🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Excellent video. Shout out to the videographers and editors on this one!
