So I haven't posted in a while. But actually I made like three videos during that time, all of which I deleted, because I felt they weren't good enough. But now I have come to the realization that it is better to just publish regularly, and be okay that I will not but out a masterpiece of a video each time. And also accept that some of the videos that I do not love myself, might be what you guys like. So I will really try to post more often from now on :) My goal from now on will be to post twice per week, on Tuedays and Fridays.

Oh yeah, some photos I've taken that I thought were kind of bad, people ended up loving. And some photos I love, people didn't like them at all :/ Also I made a little meme video last year that I thought was lame so I was going to delete it, but I decided to just upload it anyways, and it got half a million views. So yeah I agree it's best to just release content as you make it because people could actually love it!

Some of the photos that I get the most likes and comments on are photos that I am not 100 percent happy with. We are our own worst critics! Keep up the good work!

I agree with the previous comments. What may seem normal and routine to you is interesting to your followers as you have a great, gentle and natural style, which is very calming and interesting. OK, so you might not produce a masterpiece video (in your eyes) every time, but we really enjoy seeing them. Most photographers are rather insecure about their images as they are their own harshest critics; so please keep posting when you can as we really like what you do. Best wishes from Sussex, England.

This is what I miss from the first lock down in 2020. Walks without other people.

You described perfectly how I feel when taking pictures. I'm not a photographer by any means (I've been wanting a DSLR camera for years and my family and friends pitched in to get me one a couple of months ago, and I'm still trying to learn the ropes - that's how I found your channel), but even when I would go to a beautiful place with my iPhone, this is how taking photos makes me feel.
I often hear people say things like "Stop worrying about taking pictures and just enjoy the moment" but taking pictures is one of the ways I most enjoy the moment. I feel like photography opens my eyes to details I normally wouldn't pay any attention to. Eg. the tiny flower growing out of the crack in the pavement or the way the sun shines through the leaves of a tree. I find that I appreciate the beauty around me so much more when I'm taking photos.
I think the concept is very similar to meditation: it causes you to be completely focused on the present and on what you're feeling/seeing/hearing in the moment. It slows down your thoughts to a single stream rather than having a thousand really fast thoughts all at once, and stops you from overthinking. I think that's what makes it so magical, except that it's also a lot more fun and interesting than meditation.
P.S. If anybody can recommend to me free resources for beginner DSLR photography, I'd really appreciate it!

Can't agree more on everything you said here 👍 I'm exactly the same, the only difference is that you can tell all the stories in so much poetic way😊

Thank you, I have relised that I am able to concentrate far better when doing a shoot by myself but love the way you explained it and I totally agree. I too am looking forward to my next photo walk.

Wonderful photowalk! Love how you explained the unique feeling of going out and taking photos. It's definitely my number one meditation when my mind feels heavy. Thank you so much for sharing!

Yes, the main value of photography for me is taking the time to find and capture beautify. I get exercise, it is a creative outlet, and my mind lets go of all the worries and negativity in life as I just focus on the simple beauty of nature. It is addictive as well because of the inextinguishable intermittent reinforcement of occasionally capturing a scene worth keeping and sharing it with others, or simply revisiting the experience every time I look at the photo. How can that not be anything it therapeutic.

Thank you very much, Micael, for your lovely video. All the things you have thought over during your photo trips are well known for me , too. Just like you, I often go out with my cam in search of unusual things around us and sometimes come back without any shots... Nevertheless, I am happy in my belief that I belong to our numerous group of photography lovers... Many, many thanks for your shares and I hope there will be much more brilliant videos of yours in the future...

Good message and some really nice photos. I find that at times I get caught up in the moment and the photography just happens, other times I don't seem to be in the moment and it is a struggle.
