I would like to see two tiers of the WTC… the top 8/9 in one tier, and the other test playing nations (plus a possible couple of new teams, say Netherlands and Namibia, perhaps?) Not only would that help nations like Ireland and Zimbabwe actually play some test matches, it would add another layer to the wtc. Imagine teams who don’t take test cricket seriously, like South Africa, suddenly having to make sure they perform well! Because if they finish last, they would get demoted to league 2, whilst the best team in league 2 would get promoted to the big boy league. Imagine… Australia being forced to play a test against Ireland or Zimbabwe! I think it would be a good idea, which almost guarantees the ICC will not even think of it

Good idea just like in ranji trophy there is plate group and elite group Top 2 teams of plate group are selected for elite group and bottom 2 teams of elite group are demoted to plate group this increases competion among teams

With how the tours are structured and with current qualifications conditions, India’s spot is pretty much guaranteed in WTC finals for the foreseeable future and other teams need to win series (not matches) in India to knock India out of the Finals.
it might be hard in next cycle considering probably a big lot of Indian players retiring and also considering we'll have to travel NZ where we weren't able to win a match in god knows how many years & Eng where we drew a series. Unless Ind-Pak start playing tests at a neutral venue like SL or UAE, Ind n Aus will have advantage considering NZ n SA are shit at selecting teams.NZ only made last final because Aus decided not to tour due to COVID, otherwise we'd have seen Ind v Aus final in 2021 itself.

English conditions favor SENA countries. India has reached the finals twice and they will reach the finals again but I don’t think they will win. Again. One of test for a test championship is a joke. Should be one at home for either finalists and one at the Lords. It will take more time but it will be fair and exciting.
