    Fun fact: since a lot of the indian (savoury) snacks use a lot of chickpea flower, they're all relatively high in vege based proteins :) While their sweet snacks use a lot of dairy solids, again providing plenty of good protein :3 Basically if you want good gym snacks, Indian is the way to go.

      @@W-saga you realise LCMS/rice crispy bars have been used as gym snacks for energy and carbs? Ill bet you that the traditional curd/dairy solid based sweets or chickpea snacks have FAR MORE protein per mg.

      And they are fried so whatever “protein” they have get burned and same goes for sweets which not only fried but tons of sugar to. So no you can't use them as gym snack

    The people from India who are saying they don't recognize peppy is because most of you here are born after 2006
    All people in India who were born before 2004 know how legendary they were and with alcohol you had to get peppy or Uncle Chips as chakna
    (still having doubts? Ask about peppy or uncle chips to your parents)

Thanks for covering all these amazing delicacies.

      @Pari-z3e Maggi as a brand is from Switzerland and there’s no doubt about it. But it’s a staple for Indians and the taste maker is very close to what indian spice mix!
      Also, India is the largest market for Maggi!

    • @milonigada3264
      @milonigada3264 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Pari-z3e I am only wanting them to taste the spice mix!
      Lays is not Indian but Indian magic masala flavour is there for them to taste the flavour loved by most Indians
      Similarly, Maggi dominates Indian markets bcz of its flavour and hence i suggested!
      Please don’t get offended

It also makes me feel wow about the diversity in our tastes and cuisines all over the country. Probably , Only foreign brand snacks are available in all the states and would be recognised by all Indians like Lays or Coca cola. We should promote our own snacks domestically in other states too. There are lot of Indian snacks which I find interesting and would love to eat but they are not available.

    We call them sambosas and are a starter in Ramadan. But the dough is made by rolling out circles brushing with oil and layering. I do about 8. Then you roll the flat put them on a hot skillet. And open them to get thin almost filo thin pastry, cut into strips and stuff with mince or potatoes or feta. Then fry. This gives the flatter triangle. They do use this method in India too.

      Some other dishes you guys can are - Sindhi pakwaan, khamand (Gujrati), Daal Bati (Rajsthani), Uttappam, Poha, Sabudane ki Khichadi, Kathi Roll etc. Momos so popular now so thats's something worth trying. For some sweets - Sandesh, Gujiya, Gajak or something like tamarind candy and chawanprash. Another idea is indian take on dishes from other cultures. For example we have our own variety of chinese food which are very popular in India. Another thing they can try are Indian fruits which are not found in the west or taste very different. Mangoes are a must try with lots of variety.

It's not always an outward visible reaction to it. The way mine is,is it tastes like copper metal and it makes me feel like throwing up.

I remember my parents always buy murukku and chikki when I was young. I think it's normal for us Asians to eat Indian snacks and food because we live in a multi culture society.
