I beat this fight through BLU as well and it's my favorite fight in the game now, I'm actually glad the Morbol mount is a thing because I wouldn't have gotten to experience this otherwise.

Put it in to the game"
see, my group was doing fine till ti split apart and clusterfuck of aoes happened twice... then it went fucking super sayain, restored its health, and i was like, nope, done. cant handle a super robot after putting in the work to kill it this was unsnyced at 70 by the way
Now my thought is, if this is only mid-tier upper end difficulty, what will we be seeing for A9-A12 Savage? Every raid tier tends to have a way of making the previous fights look relatively easy in comparison.
I started savage raiding in Deltascape, and a friend of mine who's been around since the beginning was telling me about how some of TEA's mechanics are nothing compared to the original A8S ones. I've of course heard of the intense level of bullshit that was Gordias and Midas, but I didn't think it'd be THIS BAD.
SAME, I was new when Alpha 9~12 savage was going on already and naturally that was the hardest fight for me personally. Until people started to hammer on me about it. "No. Midas was hardest!" However, recently, as I was reclearing E8S, someone said "E8S is Midas level difficulty" HAHAHA ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! No.. way. Shiva is 100X EASIER.... now yours makes more sense. I had harder time on O12S than E8S... Midas...is insane, because it's 8 phases... holy moly.. glad I am a late b(l)oomer...
Some friends and I are currently progging this min iLvl for fun, and so far (up to intermission 2) it's demanding like other savages but it's not super overwhelming. But also power creep has set in and we're finding ourselves holding DPS so that we don't mess up mechanics with weird phase skips.
Grats on the clear. This fight is miles better than A4S for sure lol. As a Monk that fight literally put me to sleep...not this fight though, it's very active.
If you want torture go look at A3S Seriously, Midas is far better than Gordias, the difficulty feels *actually honest* rather than "If you have latency issues and bad RNG fuck you huehue"
Pretty much. The first 4 Alexander raids were criticized for being “too easy” so then the next 4 were made brutal. The last 4 were more well balanced in difficulty.

Phase 7 is completely unfair. Who would even think to do this without a guide?? Really bad game design. (Also note that it's almost impossible to read debuff descriptions on Playstation, so there is no info at all).
Some things that were missing/incorrect: Megabeam has a cast bar and can also target pets Direct attack is also a DoT that has to be healed You can get to phase 2 with stacks on you and even with balls on the field. This happens if your dps is high You don't need to pull blaster away, moving it can be a dps loss and is not really necessary. The OT can just move away once mirage spawns
You can give me the "no true Scotsman" all you want, but you've already disproved yourself. People are willing to teach; we're quite literally on a video guide for the fight you want to learn. That helpless mentality is only going to hinder you and annoy everyone else.

Anecdotal evidence is not real evidence; I can assure you some have popped up since we began this conversation. Content's scarce, people are turning back to old content all the time. Your common motif since the beginning has been "woe is me, everyone's done with the tier so I'm left in the dust." Keeping looking for a group. I'd advise you to make your own learning group too, but something tells me that you'll just say you're not good enough or something. You'll get it done if you try, you won't if you cry. Simple as that.
There just really needs to NOT be instant room-wide wipe level damage for mechanic failures. Punish sure, but just outright make the last 6 minutes of the fight reset for one fuckup is absurd, and it feels like a dev copout.
I loved FF14 when I played it. The PvE were tons of fun. Doing All the single bosses, ifrit, Titan, shiva and so on as a FF fan was pretty neat. The armor set usually looking pretty amazing too. Lost my authentication when I had to reset my phone and didnt seem to get much help from the customer support so meh, aint gonna buy it again.
It seems like they are running out of ideas a bit, just throwing all of the previous bosses into an encounter seems to be flavor of the expansion with a couple of needlessly overly complex added just to keep it "fresh". A good guide though, as always.

Still quite a few mechanics even at level 80 unsynced with a full team otherwise you get wiped.
