- Black Pumas perform a live acoustic set in WGBH’s Fraser Performance Studio in Boston. Lead guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada was unable to join us due to a travel delay, but we were in great hands with vocalist/guitarist, Eric Burton. Quesada and Burton met each other in Austin, TX through a mutual friend who heard Burton busking in downtown Austin. The two musicians eventually connected and released their self-titled debut album in June 2019.

Best new voice I heard in a decade. This band has to go far. No chance that a voice like this gets lost in a crowd.
@leila lalala Michael Kiwanuka is great. I saw him in Hyde Park in summer of 2011. I am honestly surprised that despite rising in fame he has not become a household name.
Just discovered Black Pumas from the Grammys and I’m obsessed with them. Their music literally takes me to another level and brings me so much calmness and joy
And im one of their very first fans that predicted they would be nominated in the Grammys and would win big. Then i was once again correct on Grammy winners lol.
This group is the best newer band out there indeed! Growing up in the 60's and 70's i was very into the Motown and R&B music so im sure you can imagine how my ears and mind perked right up the first time "Fire" played on my car radio, I fell in love with this awesome group of music people lol.
I never get tired of listening to them over and over again around the clock daily lol.
Its like something most of us needed bad, but didnt know thar until that very firs listen 😄

For the fierst time tonight in 9 months I got baked. I stopped smoking to be more focused. Ive achieved a lot of success in the time with really important skills and questions. And tonight was quite possible the first time I can remember being unafraid of the consequences of life being lived fully( that was how I convinced myself smoking tonight was safe with a new job hire coming soon). We only have so much time yall, row your boat merrily, sometimes plow the waters, and sometimes drift. but keep that flow of loving it close and the waters your in will never sink you. This guys lyrics are just so syncronus for me.

Just came across BLACK PUMAS yesterday on my Birthday watching them in concert in my hotel room on TV . Wow can’t get enough of them , how uplifting, pure joy to listen to and also to watch .
