Thomas, i got a problem in 01:48. when i press "SHIFT + Alt + S", it doesn't do anything. i already apply the subdivision to 2 by the way. where possibly i do wrong? FYI, i tried join discord via invitation link but it says "EXPIRED"
@@ThomasColin3D I was. after i subdivided to 2 in object mode then need to go to edit mode in order to select the polygons right? (resuting the object surfaces becomes highlighted). AFTER this STEP, pressing that Shift + Alt + S don't do anything. i'm working in blender 4.1 FYI i'm already in discord
Hey man super interseting video, im a beginner and have 2 questions. Did you use Blender hardops or anything else and also at the 5:30 Minute mark you start to Talk about edgeflow etc is there a video that explains those terms to me and Show how and why you deleted the edges? Id grealty appreciate some guidance
@ThomasColin3D ok, I will reword. Remove the word printing. Can you make the model with solid walls and no open gaps? If you can show us how to do that, then you have already got it prepared for printing. 😊
Alternatively, the helmet being modeled is a MICH2000 (I know the title says PASGT, but those are similar and have a little visor lip at the front). Some google-fu later, and the store for "Protection Group Denmark" has front/side/rear pictures that can be saved/used as reference. Their chin strap is a bit different, but for the helmet itself, it should be almost if not completely the same.
blender noob here, can someone tell my why should I implement these topologies to my models? I can have same result without that good topology and less tris. Especially on non spherical objects
nice tutorial, learnt a lot, btw what blender theme do you use? if its free can you give me the name or the file to download it please, i have seen it many times but i cant find it
Great tutorial, love watching how easy you make it look! Weird thing about your voice, it sounds as if you are using compression but it isn't kicking in fast enough so you are real loud for a split second each time you speak. 🤣
He makes topology look easy every time. 🙂
Thanks Louis :)
I clicked: "sure anyone can make a helmet"
Later: "didn't know topology could be easy and fun"
Haha thanks for watching man
Very useful and quality knowledge for no charge. Greatly encourages a learner to become your patron to keep on learning! Well done sir :)
Thank you very much :)

9:53 - 10:00. How did you determine those coefficient numbers for "S"?
Lots of tests. I found that these numbers we giving the best results to reduce the visibility of the poles
super nice edge topology!!

Great model!

Nice videos and guides! It would be cool to see during the video which keys are pressed)
Thank you! I can't show what keys I press because I made my own custom shortcuts. You would not be able to follow! But I say what I press when I speak

Are you able to show us how to prepare thos helmet for 3d printing? Adding solidify etc?
I don't know anything about 3D printing sorry!

Hey! I don't have the links of the pictures because they were sent to me on discord. I can share them to you on Discord if you DM me :)
