Omega pirate wasn't too hard when you figure out that super missiles wreck him and if you ignore the other pirates, you can kill him before he ever regenerates his armor. Still, Meta Ridley certainly takes some of the most punishment of the bosses, even when you use the wavebuster exploit during the second half of the fight.
***** The hardest boss was by far is the Omega Pirate, avoding the troopers is just childish and full of cowardness... The thing about metroid is to make it challenging on the gameplay, not ''walk in the park'' difficulty.
Ridley started out as organic in the first Metroid game, until he was fatally wounded by Samus. He was revived with cybernetic implants as Meta Ridley. Sometimes after being beated by Samus near the end of the Prime series. Ridley somehow regained his organic body which was reduced to nothing by Samus' relentless assault... or so she thought.
This fucker was so aggressive. Not so hard once you got his patterns down, but still intense, especially on hard. I still remember how much I was not expecting his charging attacks the first time...
I mean, Samus did kinda ruin his life. impaired his body several times, and cause him to be unemployed 3 times. It's understandable that he'd be super aggressive with Samus.
@@romilrh beat the game least 20 times back on gamecube, he was extremely aggressive, tended to do lots of fly by bombings/fire breath runs in phase 1, and was near constantly in my face on phase 2, making heavy use of the jump shockwave and fire breath, otherwise made heavy use of his lunge, rarely stopping to roar at me on each of my playthroughs, the hd remaster made him bit more paced/forgiving
@samy29987 It's not exactly clear. Some people think the original Ridley dies in Prime 3 when his body completely disintegrates, and that the Ridley in Super Metroid was a clone. Other people think the Ridley in the Prime series was a clone or an experiment due to all the mechanical enhancements, and the fact that Ridley looks normal again in Super Metroid.. The original is definitely dead by the time of Metroid Fusion though.
@samy29987 Well, you've probably gotten loads of responses, but Metroid Prime takes place after Metroid/Metroid Zero Mission, so he's a cyborg in Prime 1.
I finished Metroid Prime on Dolphin Emulator App a few days ago. But my phone isn't that powerful. So like every other bosses, this game used to have lags during Meta Ridley too. The advantage is that this ost played in a slow pace in the beginning which felt awesome to me.
I was playing Metroid prime remastered and accidentally played a flawless no death game up until metroidly when I died once and learned the conservation is key
I wonder if Ridley chose then to attack, because, one, Samus just opened the thing the Pirates were trying to open for forever by then, and two, because Samus was raised by the Chozo, thinking he could kill Samus, he thought that she'd die in a Chozo temple too. But no he got destroyed At least until Prime 3
I wouldn't be surprised if the "Cunning" part of his Cunning God of Death nickname was on full display since he KNOWS at this point in all likelihood that Samus has a massive connection to the Chozo, he very well could have proceeded to show himself in order to lure her to Tallon IV both to take his revenge and before that keep an eye on her from afar while potentially luring her to find what the Tribe on Tallon IV wanted her to find (IE the Artifacts, with him likely guessing that hints are there on the totems to their locations) in order to go "into the Belly of the Beast" in order to kill The Great Poison, Phazon, Arguably Physical Corruption and Distortion Incarnate, Metroid Prime or "The Worm", so that she can open the temple, after which he'd kill her as revenge! he'd kill two birds with one stone... or fireball in his case: he'd finally be able to kill Samus both taking his revenge and finally giving his forces a break (remember, the term "Space Pirate" is used more as a placeholder name as their true name is unknown due to them having a preference for the same tactics as said criminals albeit on a potentially much larger scale, hit and run, subterfuge, guerilla warfare, stealing and reverse engineering enemy and ancient tech and more are ALL on the table as they only care about results, to the Pirates, the ends ALWAYS justify the means of the ends are the results they are looking for) AND likely scoring some points with the higher ups! ...Too bad for him on top of the fancy new Phazon Suit Samus got access to, she also had a home field advantage as Talllon IV's currently unnamed Tribe of Chozo not only were of a Spiritual leaning just as the Mawkin and Thoha were of Battle and Academia, they managed to figure out a way to keep their consciousness in the physical world and interact with it, which as we know they did for both bad as the Ghosts we had to fight sadly have shown and good as Ridley found out the hard way as they backed up the "Child of Light" by dealing the final blow to Ridley since I'm not surprised that they Temple had a security system complete with lasers (this IS Phazon we are dealing with after all) and used those Lasers to damn near kill Ridley for daring to attempt to stop Samus from killing Metroid Prime and allow them some semblance if closure!
Turns out specks of Ridley's blood was scraped off Samus' Power Suit while she was recovering from her fight with Mother Brain. It was then used by some asshole working on the Bottle Ship to revive Ridley, allowing him another chance to seek revenge against his eternal nemesis.
Luckily, Anthony comes to the rescue, saves Samus from shitty ass writing, sacrifices himself (or so we think) and thus another epic battle ensues between the giant zombie clone space pirate dragon and the bounty hunter who apparently has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorde- GODDAMN I HATE OTHER M SO MUCH FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK

Looking back at the fight, it was pretty challenging, I don't think hard is a proper word. The bosses in this game weren't thaaat difficult.
