I think remastered music can sometimes be a good thing, but Metroid Prime's score is one I feel could never be changed. I'd argue half the games identity is the atmospheric soundtrack, it's that good.
I love how this theme just screams “abomination.” Metroids themselves are failed Chozo bioengineering. This metroid has come into contact with a highly radioactive substance and is mutated beyond recognition. So much so, that it EATS the stuff now (fully-armored space pirates die almost instantly when coming into direct contact with Phazon and the stuff will eat through Samus’ Varia suit in less than a couple minutes at full energy). Then this thing manages to incorporate space pirate tech into its body to create an exoskeleton. Everything about Metroid Prime is an affront to nature and thats what makes it so amazing.
Ironically enough, it's impossible for the Metroid Prime to be an actual Metroid. There are no Metroids native to Tallon IV. The Metroids you encounter were brought by the Space Pirates much after the Leviathan hit Tallon IV. Even though the Metroid Prime is called a Metroid, I think this is just the way the Space Pirates address it. The Metroid Prime is just a sentient Phazon abomination, with the sole purpose of spreading and consuming Phazon, not at all related to the Metroid family.
@@hyper9984 well I think that’s something that maybe the developers kind of failed to fully explain (whether intentionally or not), but the fact that Prime can breed fission metroids does suggest at least some sort of relationship to them, and the concept of a mutated metroid with a grudge against Samus was actually something that occurred in the comics. Plus all the other Leviathan guardians are creatures native to the planets being infected. It’s never explained though why a metroid would be there prior to the Space Pirates discovering the planet so idk, I’ve just always liked the idea of the Chozo accidentally playing a role Edit: also, the “brain” of Prime’s essence consists of three lobes similar to the three nuclei of regular metroids

Although the events of the Metroid Prime Trilogy happened waaaaay before than Metroid Fusion or Dread.

I loved this game because, well a lot of things, but one of them was whenever you got into a boss battle, a short cut scene would play, showing the sheer scale of the boss. This one hit home. When I got through the Impact Crater and I got into the core... Samus walking slowly in as the theme kicks in.. It was so cool!
Even though Dark Samus is confirmed as playable in SSB Ultimate, I kinda want Metroid Prime to appear as a Boss Character. Maybe have it to where you have to beat Metroid Prime to unlock Dark Samus?
Dark Samus’ final smash shoulda been commanding a Leviathan to obliterate opponents. Also, they should have added more Prime music like this or the Metroid Prime Essence theme or Dark Samus’ theme.
I find his pre-battle form far scarier than both battle ones. Truly nightmare fuel. Edit: can't say the same about Remastered version of it, though, they made it kind of silly.

thats because it was in their perspective. Metroid Prime was one of their lores. they wanted to gain access to the impact crater to have an incredible source of power. but Metroid Prime would pose a threat to them. they were also thinking about eliminating metroids ice weakness and spawn metroids at will while being able to control them. like it was said in Other M, a small group of well trained Metroids can wipe out entire armies.
Just beat this game 100 percent today and goddamn this boss music is fine. Actually, here's an interpretation: the heartbeat and metallic scratching go together because it represents metroid prime and it's exoskeleton. I mean it's blue underneath like how samus is blue underneath so even before prime 2 back when it was a giant head with tentacles, it still acted as a twisted inversion of samus, complete with its own strong will to do what it believes it must: spreading phazon everywhere it can.
Back here a million years later for this awesome theme!! 🔥 what made the prime games so good is the very uneasy borderline scary themes they had. This track continues to be my favorite from the series.

I just spam charge combination attacks (Super Missile, Wavebuster, Ice Spreader, and Flamethrower) until the missile launcher is depleted, then I use charged beams for a while until I have more Missiles.
This phase of the fight is always so frustrating. The color of its head changes constantly and you have to go into morph ball mode when it charges at you, plus the flamethrower is next to useless so that doesn't help either
He only does Flare Mode once though. He also gives you plenty of time to duck under him, and he does try to trick you, but once you get used to the tricks, you can deal with him pretty easily.

I don't think there is a definitive answer, but Metroid Prime being originally a Tallon IV Metroid is more plausible considering its stated in MP3:C that Leviathan Seeds will tempt in a local entity to protect the core and we know there were Metroids on Tallon IV before the Seed landed, but we don't know if there were Metroids on Phaaze before the Space Pirates made it their base between 2 and 3.

The husks in Phaaze are probably the remnants of Metroids who have mutated into Metroid Primes once they got to phaaze (don't forget that the Metroid Prime can hatch Metroids, so Dark Samus could probably still do that). As for the enhancements, you actually have the US version of the game to blame for that. This version had additional Pirate datas which said that the Pirates actually managed to break the Impact Crater's seal and capture the Metroid Prime. However, it escaped and went back to the Crater, but not before stealing weapons from the Pirates, hence the enhancements. Now those additional datas create a whole lot of plotholes, but I think that's the most logical explanation as to why the Metroid Prime was so heavily armed ;)

They said that they might work on Metroid after they do the next Donkey Kong Country. It won't be Prime 4 though. Prime is over. It can still have the same gameplay and formula and everything, but its story will not be connected. Maybe they'll explain the ship at the end of Corruption, but that's it. No phazon.
