    As a beginner pressure washer, I would say that was one of the best tutorials. Thanks for the bonus hack ( pool bleach).

    I’m looking at a moldy fence while watching this. I’m going to the pool store now. Thankyou. 😊

      This time of year Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot all have that same pool bleach. Good luck.

    I used a chemical guys power washer bottle attachment on my pressure washer and filled it with pool bleach, dawn and water. let it really foam up the side of the house working from the bottom of the house to the top and it sat for about 5-10 mins and gave it a second round on the tough spots. Rinse all the vegetation down afterwards real good.

      That's a good idea. How high does the stream go?

    I am purdy sure there is something more than bleach in the mold armor probably some kind of detergent also probably could add some dawn dish washing detergent to the pool bleach and have one heck of a vinyl siding cleaner.

      I've seen people say dawn dish soap or Gain laundry detergent makes a good surfactant for pool bleach house cleaning. I'm going to try Gain in a few weeks. I'll post a video on the process.

    Just came across your video, thanks for the tutorial. I’ve got a bottle of mold armor, just waiting for all the rain to stop. Should I pre rinse my metal roof and vinyl siding first before adding the product, or just hit it with the mold armor and then rinse. Didn’t see it in your video, just wanted to know what your take would be? Thanks

    There's a jet setting? Thanks for mentioning that, it'll be way easier to do the other side of my house!

      Yeah, I didn't realize that at first either. But when I switched it went from reaching 5-10 feet to 30 feet.

    So we don't really need mould armor- just use the pool bleach mix that's amazing so what 50 water & 50 pool bleach? or is it 50 Mold Armor and 50 Pool Bleach?

    • @weekendhomeprojects
      @weekendhomeprojects  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      50/50 water and pool bleach. The mild armor bottle comes in handy to spray.

    I wonder if you could use the pool bleach to clean the holiday inflatables?

    • @weekendhomeprojects
      @weekendhomeprojects  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Try it on your least favorite first. Def. dilute it 1:1 to start. If it doesn't damage that one...then you have a cool cleaning method for the inflatables. Let us know if you try it and how it works.

      How much gain? Was it mixed in or pre applied? Only for the bleach mix or also for the mold armour? Is your recommendation brand specific? What if i used dawn? Thank you. I only now discovered this solution. I thought i'd have to pay $600 for pressure washing

    • @weekendhomeprojects
      @weekendhomeprojects  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@manjuh4236 You can get the job done without it. I didn’t use any in this video. Play around with the mixture. I’d start with a 1/4 of a cap of gain….or 1/4 cup of dawn per gallon of pool bleach. Both those will make the pool bleach cling more, which will allow it to have more time to work.

    You mentioned “Add a little bit of Gain laundry detergent”. How much is “a little bit”? 😎

    Bleach is the main ingredient you're playing on your house and you're going to take all the color of the vinyl and it'll be chalky and doll within a matter of a month

    • @weekendhomeprojects

      Got a link to that? Pool bleach is the main ingredient soft washing business use.

      You definitely shouldn't use pool bleach...outdoor bleach yes...also what else besides the bleach and water did you use bc you still need a foaming agent to act as a cutter...also for regular maintenance you can apply a mixture of water and white vinegar

    • @weekendhomeprojects
      @weekendhomeprojects  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@topher216933 Soft washing companies say "Industry standard is pool shock which is comprised of the same active ingredient. Outdoor bleach is around 6% SH where pool shock is 10-12.5% SH. Pool shock is cheaper per gallon usually. " In the video I mention using Gain detergent as a surfactant. But you can also just use dawn.
