Its a shame that when I was younger I was too immature to be able to build some of the things I can today. Its fun to boot up LBP and create but there isn't a large enough community to actually make it worthwhile. Even when I do publish a level it gets lost in the nonsensical slapped together mess that are most spammed levels. I guess the point of LBP was never truly to get recognition but to enjoy the challenge of creating something, but I digress.
M P, well commenting a year later, I think you should look at MM’s next big project Dreams. I don’t really have nothing else to say except that you can literally do anything in the game!
This. I don't even know if I can make a good level. Never got the chance to try before the server disaster and I don't want to pull out a PS4. ADHD can do a lot of bad for your creativity even though a good deal of artists probably have it.
Dude, I hated when the creator would spam their levels with keys and worthless prizes haha. I think a lot of these were due to the fact that most people playing were children. I remember going create mode to try and make a level or music but I just couldn't get any inspiration. As a kid you just couldn't make quality levels, but unlike most I recognised how crap they were. I remember logic being so confusing (but I'm studying engineering now and I would love to go back). If only we were a little older man. I was just starting to get good as LBP2 died.
@@malteseassassin i’m just now seeing this reply, holy crap that really is you! this is the first “how not to make a level” though, right? i get that this is an edited version for LBP2 that included the jeep, but it still showed as MM picked on the world.
...I feel like telling people to just not use story objects is a tad unreasonable. If the setting of the level is that of the story you'd be foolish to not use story objects here and there to make it look right. Not to mention there probably are creative ways to make these objects work in an original level. Just don't abuse story objects.
exactly! I sometimes use story obstacles because I can't figure out how to build them myself, and use decorations and the material changer to make them work with the theming of my level

It's depressing, I was considering testing this game to see if it would work an PS5 around a month ago, but I found out that very recently the server's would be shut off indefinitely. Maybe in the future the archive of games will be compatible with some fan made game or something, and I can find all my (and my brother's) old levels from over a decade ago, it would be interesting to see if I remember anything from 7 years ago when I last played LBP3.

Very true. That's why I decided to use grid-snap most of my gameplay time. For accurate platforming level work. This level here is really educational.

Same with using background. The coolest most artistic level had allways NO background but different skycolour and they made the background themself
