  • What do you think are the most captivating characters in fiction? Some might say protagonists or villains or maybe even anit-heroes, but I've always found myself following one particular trait with eyes wide. In this video we'll be going over some of the big questions these types of characters ask, and why I believe they end up being so popular and captivating.

I really like how you manage to cross different platforms of fiction (anime, movies etc.) to get your points across, as well as some small drops of storytelling concepts. Really cool! Keep it up :-)

Characters from novels that I believe fall into this category would be the Dund universe's Paul Atreides and later his son Letp II Atreides

I want this guy to make a character analysis on garou from one punch man....I don't know I just feel like garou as a character has so much more depth than people think initially especially after the cosmic garou saga

Beyond media, if you haven’t already, could you make an analysis on characters on characters like saitama and gojo ,and how their abilities to be above all changes their mindset, ideals and makes them feel isolated compared to others. Ty for the amazing videos keep it up👍

I never thought about saitama that way, but it kinda makes sense, I always figured he was just an introvert, but maybe is power does isolate him.

Interesting video. But why are you inspired by these characters? When many of these characters did some pretty awful things in their convictions and sacrifice ( selfish ). Not intending to criticize, just curious. I will agree that they are captivating. But I'm not sure if they are inspiring due to many of their actions. Maybe I shouldn't talk since I do have a soft spot for Eren and Itachi. Despite what they did. ( only aimed at the anti heroes and villains ) if you see this the sound of your video is low. But its also possible that my phone is being dumb.

I think their dedication is really impressive. I don’t think many people are capable of doing the extreme and it’s therefore a rare trait. The inspiration mainly takes the form of creative inspiration, as well. While personal real life ambition always tends to inspire me to chase after what I want, a lot of those characters are incredibly well written. I think that’s because the contrast of a honorable idea expressed in a dishonorable way is a very naturally interesting thing, and when it’s done well, the characters are really captivating and creatively inspiring

@BeyondMediaAnalysis1 Thank you for your reply. When you put it like that, it's helpful, and I understand what you mean. I just never thought of it that way. Usually, when a character does something awful even if they mean well by it or in part. I usually lose some love for that character because I don't support it. But sometimes I understand their actions and the reasons behind them, like Eren and Itachi.

I admire Kanye west’s musical prowess, yet find his beliefs and actions very harmful to many individuals and potentially society, at large. However, I can’t say for sure, because who really knows. I’m no god (disregard my username tho haha).

Hey, beyond media. Have you considered making a character analysis video of rudeus greyrat or on mushoku tensei? It's a very controversial show and character but I also believe it's highly misinterpreted. Would love to see your video on this one.

@@BeyondMediaAnalysis1 it's considered one of the most controversial anime, so beware of some extremely fucked up scenes. Especially in season 1, but ngl imo those scenes are what makes the show and his character development good, since his character was supposed to be shown as the lowest scum.
