    I was wrong about the locking part having a magnet, the disk is solid steel and not magnetic with a spring, sorry for mistake and thank you for watching

    Thanks for the review, Jerad! 🤗 ...Just to note, the lock is totally non-magnetic - it's a solid steel disc... The two magnets (one in the blade, and one in the handle) fire the blade, and double as a magnetic detent. But once you take those two magnets out like you did, the knife is not only manual, but also completely non-magnetic. ..Anyhow, thanks again man!

    Hopefully some manufacturer takes the initiative to make a magnetic out the front automatic. Just using the magnetic lock, kinda like a push button automatic. Even better if it’s a double action out the front. Never mind, somebody will probably mess it up by giving it a 3 inch blade lol

    Dude, how the hell does Brian Winters keep coming up with all these innovative designs that no one has ever seemed to think of before? And not a single one of his knives won “Most Innovative” at blade show……shame on them for giving it to a regular folding knife with an added corkscrew. Maybe no one has ever thought about that before? Oh wait, there have been folding n over with corks screws for DECADES! Maybe they don’t have the lever that rests on the top of the bottle for leverage, I’ll give them that. And that definitely makes it more innovative than A FUCKING DUAL ACTION OUT-THE-SIDE AUTOMATIC…..NOT!!!! Maybe Blade Show is run by the US Government? Favoring the big company over the little guy who has a far superior/game-changing product season right up their alley lol

    Hi, how are you? Do you have any videos talking about how you maintain your knives to prevent rust? I have three knives: Kershaw, Civivi, and Cold Steel. The latter doesn't even respond to emails. When I asked Kershaw about using mineral oil on the knife (since I live in Brazil and there's only one store that sells only Nano Oil, which is extremely expensive), they replied that it's best not to use any oil to avoid residue buildup. On the other hand, Civivi said, which matches the information in their manual, to apply a thin layer of oil (they leave the type of oil open). So, there isn't a consensus. I just don't want to worry about my knives rusting.

A good truck flyer can look new a year in. Now..there was a cool drum machine/sampler flyer that I spilled coffee on. A least that’s what I say. Sara was out and I was by myself for a week. That is a highly desirable knife. Cheers.

      The lock disc kinda looks like a magnet, but it's actually a solid steel disc - so the lock is completely non-magnetic.
      The (two) firing magnets are housed in steel and next to impossible to break while in the knife (even during drop tests etc they're safe and sound)...

      @jkurtzz The majority of my knives are primarily non-magnetic... Springs and magnets function differently, which means that you can do some things with magnets that you can't with springs - and vice versa. So my approach is that I use magnets when I think it offers some sort of benefit over springs... So for example, in the case of the M-Fire, once you get the timing down you can easily "swing" the blade closed without having to "push" it closed like you do on a coil or leaf spring auto.. Another benefit in this case is that the two firing magnets "double" as a detent to keep the blade (very) securely closed.. ...Anyhow, just thought I'd share! 🤗🍻

      @@winterbladeco ouch haha wasn’t expecting a direct comment. I’m definitely intrigued by your designs. Truthfully I’m a frame lock guy. I have a some otfs and grav knives, but the bulk of my collection are frame locks. If I had more of a fascination with the mechanical aspects of creating something like the Severn I would probably have picked one up, but I just gravitate the other direction. Potentially if I ever get bored of the more traditional style locking systems I could see myself experimenting with some of the more funky mechanisms. Glad to see your active in the community it kind of makes me want to buy one of the tamer models like the mirage just for the heck of it lol.

    • @winterbladeco
      @winterbladeco หลายเดือนก่อน

      All of my launches so far have been unlimited preorders, except for the very first... This includes the Factor B2, Factor B3, Mirage, and Severn.
      But from here forward we're gonna mix things up by doing some in stock drops also...
      The benefit of unlimited preorders like we've been doing is that everybody who orders gets a knife, but the drawback is a long wait.
      The benefit of an in stock drop is no long wait, but the drawback is that they're always limited. "How" limited depends on things like cashflow/budget, and estimated demand for a particular model (which can be very hard to predict).
      Cheers!
