Gv80 2025 owner here. The car is excellent. Also, the center console is deeper than you think. That shallow part is removable. The inner deeper part is illuminated.
For someone who is colorblind. The night mode the instruments reverse to is MUCH easier on my eyes. It would be awesome if Genesis allowed you to put the instrument panel permanently in this Dark Mode.
Oh, Genesis cars are pretty cool! They're known for their luxury and sleek designs. The G80 and G70 are popular models, offering a really nice blend of performance and comfort.
Great review! I really like the way you go over feature by feature and compare with competitors. Just FYI, the center console is a two tear space. It seems like you did not remove the divider/tray on it. If you do, you will find a deeper and led illuminated space. The other POI is that wireless apple car play and Android auto is available and working very good. Also, I own a 2025 GV80 as well as a 2023 GV70, and for my surprise, Genesis also gave wireless connectivity for my GV70 with an OTA update that rolled out at the same time than the one for the GV80, so is the first time that I get features that I didn't pay for (in the case of the GV70) for free!!. Kudos to Genesis for doing that. I'm a happier customer just for that.
@ the GV80 is certainly bigger than the GV70, specially in the back seat legroom. Also it feels significantly wider, so in general you have more space for passenger. I do have the third raw in the GV80, but that’s really for small kids. That said, from the driver seat perspective the space is about the same, but the driving experience on the GV70 is leaning to the sport/light side, while the GV80 is more luxurious and composed, so they are really different on regards the driving experience.
With the updates, this is one of the best looking luxury SUVs on sale. Too bad it’s over $80k to get one spec’d like this. The lower trims on smaller wheels dont look nearly as good.
Thanks for these night reviews! Does the 3.5T have the same headlights as the 2.5T? I rented a 2025 GV80 2.5T Standard, and while the headlights looked similar in appearance, they weren't nearly as bright.
Headlights look exactly like what Cadillacs doing just horizontally integrated on these vehicles. The thin strip DRL accent with bi-functional also serving as the turn signal right up against the row of stacked jewel like LED cubes. Headlights themselves are so Cadillac to me. Steering wheel is hugely improved from that hideous oval two spoke. I like these wheels, I don’t like the way it seems the vehicle is squatting towards the rear though. Still has that look from when this vehicle first came out. Maybe air suspension could fix that. Aviator has the same problem with it’s stance imo. Was the wireless apple CarPlay/android auto in 2025 models a scheme? I could’ve sworn it was supposed to be here. It’s something you’ll find in a $35k Chevy Equinox. Upgrade the display but not the software?
Makes zero sense to me why auto-dimming isn't standard on BOTH sideview mirrors especially on luxury brands. Another little thing Genesis is doing right.

Genesis has come along to be one of top high end luxury brands right now
Genesis is the king of the luxury brands IMO

You can actually do it!
I own GV80 whata fantastic car

You should make an 'after dark' channel where you do this to all vehicles you review

Does your gv70 feel significantly smaller than the gv80? Just curious on your thoughts on the interior space and comfort comparing the two.

Yes it does. It’s their best product.
Nice video keep up the great work my brother
Amazing vehicle

Glad you enjoy them! Genesis says the headlights are the same across the trim lineup
Do this kinda night review on more vehicles too.
You slammed the door. Mine are self closing
Has anyone tried removing the shallow part from the area closet to the shifter?
22" wheels

Wireless carplay/android auto is going to come to the cars through an OTA software update later on
the two spoke steering wheel wasn't bad tbh esp in person. all models back to 2021 (and some older models) got the wireless update already.
By this point, most owners should have the wireless CarPlay and AA update
He is taking a big risk showcasing this expensive car at night.

Cost cutting 😂 But Im sure it’s standard…. hopefully on all 80 sum thousand vehicles 😂
You missed the reverse like 💔
