Quiet was never evil she was a soldier following orders because it gave her Existence meaning however I do believe her love for venom gave her a new Purpose In life and made her care for her Fellow soldiers in motherbase as well as venom
Quiet has such an interesting character arc! I wish we got more on her thoughts as she shifted from wanting revenge against Venom to willingly joining him
Considering the vocal cord parasite had mutated beyond the wolbachia treatment, I think she was right to leave when she did. It’s sad that she can’t live without the parasite and I have a soft spot for the love between venom and quiet 😞
Unless I'm just violently off, I don't think quiet could talk to code talker about the infected soldier as Code Talker had not been brought to MB yet. I'm recently replaying V and swear I saw the quiet cutscene before rescuing Code Talker as a means of preluding the infection as we had no idea why she did so.
Maybe I'm violently off haha Either way though she could still *try* to tell people through Navajo and trigger Venom to go find a Navajo translator... She def had other options than attack that guy without explanation and then try nothing else to stop the spread of the infection haha

I feel like all the Snakes had love interests except for Solidus haha Snavid has Mei Ling, Meryl, Otacon; Raiden has Rose (can we really call her a love interest when they're actually dating..?), BB has Ocelot, Kaz, and EVA, and Venom has Quiet and Kaz. Solidus is the only lonely boy with no interests... Tho he was really focused on taking down the Patriots and was busy wrangling Olga and Ocelot so I don't really blame him haha
@@luffiewebster tbh, Snavid had attraction to Meryl, but nothing more, he's more about "I'm not a hero" kind of stuff. Big boss's interaction with Eva feels more like "well, mission accomplished, now i need some delight". While Venom is unconditionally in love with Quiet.
Before this video I thought that Quiet was just a kind of mirror to Venom, both soldiers used by their respective upper command. But after this, I'm surprised by the kind of "good" Quiet did in a personal level. Quiet as a mirror to Venom is a really interesting concept! Not only were they both used by their upper command, but they both take back their agency by the end of the game. Both with Quiet saying she's now choosing to be quiet for herself and with Venom spoilers spoilers spoilers haha (smashing the mirror of his former image and walking away as Big Boss, accepting his title) And Venom and Quiet are adorable together!! Some of the very few times Venom smiles is when he's with Quiet
Big Boss was already evil by the time Quiet came to kill him. He had committed to removing Venom Snake’s identity and was planning on using the civilians of the hospital that nursed him back to health as meat shields
Objectively speaking, Quiet's actions as an assassin for Cypher earn her a point in the "bad guy" column, but I find it difficult to judge a character just because they kill people for Cypher. We'd have to condemn Naked Snake, Solid Snake, Raiden and a fair number of non-playable characters. Everyone who has played MGS has killed people for Cypher, so I can't judge her there. So her "good guy" points out weigh her "bad guy" points for me.
Naked Snake doesn't actual kill anyone (unless you make him haha) and Raiden is being taken advantage of and has lost his agency in MGS2, so I'd argue they wouldn't get a bad point. Anyone else who knowingly murders for Cypher tho should get a point in the bad guy column, including us the player! Maybe I should do a Is The Player Good Or Evil video next haha
@@luffiewebster well, Naked Snake carries the weight of the Boss's death with him for the rest of his life, quoting that he killed her with his own hands and that ever since then, he's been dead too. Raiden kills Fatman and Solidus in accordance to his orders from the Patriots (Cypher). These characters have blood on their hands, even if the player chooses to do pacifist runs. The point I'm trying to make is we all stand on equal ground as far as killing for Cypher goes, so none of us can judge Quiet for her past. Therefore, her good guy points win out.

Here's my theory about what happened to Quiet in Post-MGSV TPP: I believe Cipher/Patriots (possibly under the orders from Dr. Clark/Para-Medic) recovered the remains of Quiet, and somehow extracted her power and use it as a Foxdie. It's also used as a nanomachine (which Vamp have the ability to walk over the water, jump around etc. Would you agree? Please me know. Ah yes, she is truly a good person and just want to be free from the vocal parasite. :(
Right?? I've heard theories that she was worried that even writing English would activate the vocal cord parasites, but she still could have spoken Navajo. Even before Code Talker was there to translate, are you telling me we wouldn't get a translator on base for her? We already scoop up a handful of different translators so why not one for Navajo?

Venom was 51 in mgsv and 63 in mg1 if he was 30 when he woke up he would wipe the floor with solid and xof
