Love both dresses on you. But the long one makes you even look 'poopy chique' as we sometimes say out here. Suits you so well! Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Besides the giggles, this was an excellent teaching video on fit. And I’m grateful that you said fit is personal. But those dresses! They are darling! Wow!

Thank you Carolyn. I may video myself starting with a fresh pattern. My alterations don't include all that are possible, however, so I hesitate to do it.
Hello Joy. Thank you for the review. I love all of the dresses on you. Especially the maxi one. It made you look so tall! They were all lovely though. Blessings to you.
Oh Joy, y o.o u make it look so easy. I made New Look pants yesterday. Very simple. Buuuuut they're did not fit my weird body. They were to be worn one and half inch below elastized waist. I am sway back too. So these didn't work. I had "plumbers crack" in the back. Would not cover my full hips. The legs were huge too. So I've changed patterns today with normal waist line and slimmer legs and I am going to P and P this pattern. I've learned that if you are sway back, you do not need low rise pants. I am determine to get a pair to fit, thanks to you.
Wonderful! You may make 2 or 3 pair before they come out perfect, BUT it is very worth the effort. Once the paper is right, you can make a dozen pair. Raise the entire waist all the way around about 2 inches. Pull the pant up and put a piece of elastic that has been sewn into a circle to fit you around your waist. Pull the pants up into your crotch until comfortable for you. Then mark UNDER the elastic band around your waist. Waistband or casing go ABOVE that line.
No wonder my sewn dresses didn't fit! I got back to my weight in my 20s but it sure doesn't look the same - need some gym equipment. Ok, a lot - one of my sons wins trophies for body building. I shouldn't have given up. At least the 3 listened to me, all active. Lol makes me look like a bad example (arthritis).
Both dresses are lovely but I love the long one! You look fab in it! Thank you Joy, I'm confused but I'm sure I will work it out. My problem as I'm getting back into sewing after many years. Great info!
