Beautiful dress! Great job choosing the fabric, seeing the end product, merging the patterns and putting it all together. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤🎉

Thank you so much, Tammy! I appreciate your kind words. One of my favorite parts of this process is finally getting to see the project come together! Happy sewing to you! 🌷🪡🧵

I pattern hack all the time. If you sew long enough, you may develop bodice, sleeve, and skirt block patterns that you use instead of store bought patterns (The Closet Historian is excellent at explaining this). I am trying to get there.

Definitely going to check out the closet historian now! What a great idea to just develop those patterns that you know already perfectly fit. I could imagine that it even makes the sewing process more efficient. Thank you for the recommendation! 🧵🪡

Lovely make. Love the colors of your fabric choice. My favorite pattern companies are Seamwork, Pattern Emporium, and Love Notions.

Totally unrelated question to this video, but where are your favorite websites to order indie patterns from? Fell down the rabbit hole looking the other night and am curious who your favorite companies are! Happy sewing and creating! 🌻

The square neck does not look too wide on you. On the model, it is wide. Great job. Did you alter the neck line?

Thank you! And I did! I believe I did not take the full 5/8 seam allowance on this one but I’ve also made it several other times and chopped off a good inch from the neckline to get that really wide square neck effect. Many different ways to alter this pattern!
