The complaints about The Flash really seem to just be about the actor's real world antics and the "bad" CGI, it's actually quite a good film.
Yes, it is a good film. Sometimes the real world antics of good actors overshadow amazing performances.
I mean it’s good, but with flaws. The CGI issues are inexcusable and at least for me, affected the viewing experience. The beginning, until the scene when Barry talks to his dad on the phone, feels like something they needed to do before introducing us to the concept of flashpoint, which seemed kind of redundant but also the pacing and dialogue felt off in the beginning. Outside of that it’s pretty good, but the issues bog down the movie somewhat. Not bad, but it easily could’ve been much better with a bit more attention to detail
Since when real-world antics aren't affected any project. Good thing people aren't calling for boycott the whole film..
Correct, my son and I saw it and enjoyed it. Special effects aren't the best nor is it the worest. He liked it so much we wenet to the book store to look for one of those compilation book of a comic series. He wanted to know more of this story from a comic book view. We did this with the death and return of superman, after watching justice league the Synder cut.
Good as it maybe, there's not a person that can or should excuse his actions and its a bit hypocritical of the studio to not replace an actor wether they just started filming or it's locked in for release, johnny depp and Kevin spacey suffered the same fate and they got sacked for they're real life antics.
This was how super hero movies should be made.
It was amazing, and kevin smith's superman script even made it in. Genius

Personally, I enjoyed this film. Great work all around, although the CGI could have been better. And honestly? I was prepared for Christian Bale to step out of the car at the end of this film 😆
Even though the studio may still hold on to the 2017 version of the JL as Canon, no one else does. The directors all consider ZSJL to be the definitive version. The Flash only makes sense if you watch the Synder version.
I really enjoyed the movie. As an all time flash fan. It's actually a great movie. The way they showed Barry running, saving lives all in slow mo. I believe there is lots of hate because of Ezra Miller's real life dark side. People are just showing hate on the company and making sure that it bomb in cinema
Phasing through object was shown in Zack Snyder's Justice League except it was a shockwave caused by mother box
I'm glad Ben is portraying batman one more time in Aqua Man 2, to finally end the snyder verse movies and hopefully on a good note, but hopes are low due to the issues with Amber.
THE BEST PART OF THIS MOVIE WAS MICHAEL KEATON NO DOUBT, THEY SHOULD BRING HIM BACK WITH MORE BATMAN MOVIES MAYBE A TRILOGY, THAT BE UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I don’t think that mattered, it was clear that his fathers presence would have stopped the criminal from doing anything drastic that’s why she stays alive when his father doesn’t get the can of tomatoes, if it was reverse flash she would have died nonetheless

Guys the Flash takes places after the events of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. That’s why he referenced the turning back of time for 3 seconds in Russia to Batfleck.
The biggest hole in he Flash is that they broke the “Two Barrys” rule they established. At the end, when Barry “returns” to the “wrong” present, where is the other Barry who belongs to that timeline?
Maybe he's there they just don't show him. He does tell Aquaman that in his timeline, which could mean he's not back home and Clooney does seem to know Barry

I think this film was just OK. I enjoyed it, it was a fun movie watching experience, but I wouldn’t say it’s a great movie. I put it in the same category as venom
Agreed. I thought the way it handled time travel was cool and seeing Keaton as Batman once again was awesome but it didn't wow me the way Spider-Man: No Way Home did. Miller just isn't Barry Allen to me. Sorry not sorry.

The only thing i didnt understand is how come the Batman in young Barrys universe is so much older than the Batman in prime Barrys universe even though its ten years before. Then when he does change everything back apart from one minor detail the Batman in prime Barrys universe is different again. Was great to see Keatons Batman back again and its a pity they didnt use him more as he was probably the best part of the movie

I think the biggest issue with the film is Barry - who only just started working at the CCPD as a janitor after the events of Justice League - needed to go to the Crime Lab at CCPD to give his younger self powers? A space he couldn't have had access to in order to get his powers in the first place - because he didn't work there in the original timeline. It was NEVER established where he was when he got his powers in the DCU. He had the powers in BVS. He acknowledges a bolt of lightning struck him in Justice League but doesn't say where. He didn't work at the CCPD before that movie - so......why would he have been there before the events of Justice League.
Most of the complaints are from those who obviously don't know alot about the character or comics in general
So I have a theory. Young Barry, so I think the fulcrum would normally be a gateway of possibilities, & it pulls in whatever possibility is created. But if you create a fulcrum at a fixed point where there's only one possibility it can't pull it in, so instead it pulled in another universes Young Barry, as that universe it was possible for his Mom to live.
In all fairness I just thought this up. I was thinking about why Prime Barry created a fulcrum, but young Barry dying didn't. Nor did Dark Flash pushing him out create a fulcrum. Theoretically any changes would similar rules/effects, so I figure the fixed point has to be the reason only Prime Barry pulled people from alt universes, & why the others merely effected their new time line. Now the catch, if the battle is also a fixed point, young barry would've created a multi-verse fulcrum just like Prime. So iono.
Young Barry dying did not create a fulcrum because he died in* the Chronobowl. Prime Barry created a fulcrum because he made a change of events outside of the bowl. The reason Dark Flash pushed Barry the first time was to ensure that his younger self, the Younger Barry, gets his speed, Dark Flash is maintaining his existence, and he screwed up when he killed his younger self

Don't know why critics are trashing the movie, it was fantastic i loved it.
I think George Clooney could be a good Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Joel Schumacher can do a good movie. I basically put over 80% of why Batman and Robin failed on studio interference

So it is the same here. In this new world with Clooney Bruce, Barry would still go back in time to save his mom. The moment that Barry left, our Barry steps in, and he's surprised to see Clooney, just like Marty was surprised to see his family better. As for the other Barry, the one who knew Clooney Batman, he went back in time to save his mom, goes through the same thing our Barry did, and when he gets back, he will not* be surprised to see Clooney Batman, just like the new Marty would never be surprised to see his family better, because to him, he grew up with this better family, and he thinks it's always been him that set his mom and dad together, he thinks it's a loop, but there was a starting point

When Barry time travels it doesn’t matter how long he stays in the pasts he returns to the moment he left so it makes no sense to say “the other Barry is gone.” Also he goes to his house, he goes to his dads court case, he goes to his job, his real self in the Clooneyverse would have been there during all those moments it makes no sense he didn’t realize till he saw Batman

If you arent aware of the previous batman/superman then sure as hell youll get confused .DC is kindda too late with the multiuniverse game, Marvel already did putting 3 spiderman in one movie and time line.
I kind of wished the movie explored more of the speed force and and actually have Barry find out who killed his mother instead of what we got.
Really, everything about Barry here was copied from the CW Flash, from the suit to phasing a door...Hope it is worth the watch
Supergirl is in Keaton universe as well.
I felt like I watched a movie stitched together from the original with constant reshoots to include the Snyderverse and then with reshoots to erase the Snydervese. There are moments it feels rushed, and moments that just don't make sense.
It's a real shame because some parts I really enjoyed and then the film would just hop off that great lane it was on.

Supergirl was ok, but the rest of this movie was a mess. Theses multiverse storylines are proving more miss than hit, with only Spiderman Across the Spider verse standing out so far as the best. Hero movie fatigue is becoming realer by the day..
The Movie was boring, even the actions was boring. we get to see Batfleck just chasing one car and doesnt even get the job done, until Wonder woman comes to help.. and most of all Zod just gets beat up by Supergirl, who had no training and was in cell for years, gets to beat up Zod like crazy. the only good thing was Keaton, he made the movie great.. Man of steel still the best DC movie

This movie was a major flop. The script was a hot mess, the CGI was horrible, and the character developments were sub-par at best. I have no faith the new direction that Gunn has laid out for the DCEU.

The most confusing thing to me about the flash movie was how WB made the decision to support Ezra Miller and his criminal behavior. They should have recast him. Yes, I understand that would have made the movie more expensive. Had they chosen a better actor, people might have actually supported and seen this film grant Gustin for example.

Grant Gustin's version of The Flash was actually considered by the director to appear in the film as a cameo but it was decided to leave it out as it needed to be shortened down from 4 hours.
I see nothing wrong with Ezra Miller's acting ability or performance in this film, and he's turned in excellent performances in at least two other movies. 🤨

I really enjoyed the film, and probably enjoyed it more bc I had read Andy Muschetti’s comments about the CGI before I saw it and took his word that it was purposeful. There is definitely a solid difference between the quality of CGI in normal reality vs that in the speed force and using that as a perceptual mechanic actually is brilliant if you know that’s the intent.
