I love how you identified items that have shaped your style today. As well as identifying events that influenced your style at the time. I've seen a few of these videos where's its little more that giggle, cringe, giggle giggle! Love this videos! You deserve all the success on TH-cam!
Loved the approach!! Instead of feeling embarrassed by the oldest photos you embraced them all and fit each in its time and its meaning and its surroundings! You do it like a documentary of the evolution of a painter! You never stop overcoming yourself! What a pro!! Bravo Lizzy!! I wonder where you want to go in life... won't blogging and vlogging become too little at some point?
Just one more thing, I really wish I could afford your affiliated links and retribute your work because you are worth the money girl! Keep thinking outside the box! Thank you!
Really enjoyed this video, and also that you pinpointed the items which really epitomize your style now. I've been meaning to do one of these for the longest time cos I feel like my own style has changed drastically, and even now, I'm starting to really shift away from silhouettes that used to be my go to, to some which are new for me (and I'm loving it!). Also been enjoying the addition of colour in your wardrobe - such a fun change for summer!
Watching your videos over the past year or so has had a big influence on me - pushing me out of my comfort zone and standard uniform and I'm so much happier with my style thank you!
Lizzy, since the day I found your youtube channel I've been loving you! I can't say I always agree with you or your style but its personal choice, isn't it? You're the reason why youtube is not dead anymore, you bring the meaning to the word fashion TH-camr, which currently is very different from what it used to be. Seeing this video and how yor style evolved I can't help but love you even more! Please keep doing what you love, hope its fashion, and keep being genuine and sincere, always you and nothing less! Best❤
Watching this now your style has already changed so much. After your new wardrobe series would you consider revisiting something like this, talking about how London and the higher end pieces you've seemed to collect in the past two years have progressed your style?
Love it! Although you've just reminded me again how obsessed I am with that Sandro suit. I think the classic Scandi look will be a timeless classic and definitely has its place, but I'm also really glad you're experimenting more and branching out, it's so inspiring! x
I started following your blog when I was 16 and desperate to experiment with clothing to try n find my "own style", I'm now 18 and all thanks to you I feel confident to be different and wear the things I enjoy, thank you Lizzy !!!! Loved looking back through your style journey:)
This video is lovely. I like how you explained the body con/fake tan years as something that was important to the night! I think some people from other cultures misinterpret it. The French for example think it's mad. But I have good memories from that time!
My favourite style period of yours lizzy is the oversized black cos coat and heels, so beautiful,i love Victorias style too,she is beautiful, i loved this video even though im not massively into fashion,i tend to love classic masculine safe style xxx
I have been loving videos like this too, so I am so excited to see you do one finally! Even though your style has been a great evolution its so clear that you have had a taste for it for years and years. Love it.
I love how your style has changed and where it's at now!! I really love the straight leg cut but I struggle to find trousers that fit me. I'm pear-shaped, with a big butt and hips, a small waist and no chest, and I feel like the straight-leg cut isn't as flattering on me sometimes. Could you do a video on how to style different body shapes?
This was so fascinating and inspiring! Especially how you connected your style back in the day with pieces and silhouettes you wear nowadays, a true evolution indeed :D got me thinking about my early uni days; black pencil skirts and high heeled boots all the way....what was I thinking!?? Also why do we feel the need to pinpoint "our style" as a static thing? I really like the way you've been experimenting (also through testing basics) over the last year or so. Great video :D
I love style evolution videos and yours is my favourite by far. I jut love all of your videos, Lizzy and your style is so on point! If I could make one request I would LOVE to see videos on slow/sustainable fashion and ethical/vegan fashion! There are so many new awesome brands popping up and amazing non-animal leather technology and I would love to see your thoughts on it all :)
This is such a great video Lizzy, love the natural evolution of your stye, which to begin with was more on the side of classic minimalist even back in the AA disco pants craze.
You're my favorite and such an inspiration. You've really opened my eyes to see what clothing is made of and to really take care of it. You are set apart from the rest and it's noticeable. Really thankful for your authenticity and individuality. Keep going strong 💃
Your hair looked SO great in the set of pictures where you first showed yourself wearing the gucci loafers. Short, dark, no bangs. Very mature and cool!
I do history of art too! Could you make a video about how you found the course, how it aided or didn't in your career? I'm struggling to think of what to do in the future due to lack of opportunities but I know it is a broad course that can be applied to loads of jobs
Really enjoyed this video, a lot less cringey than a look back on my style would be but I'm not a fashion blogger. Would be interested in hearing about your influences and brand choices in a future video as seems you've also be v high end
Lucy Jones maybe her parents has more money than ours. Which is a fact of life. You obviously can't express yourself the same way when money isn't there, you have to be a million times more creative and can't really sport that sleek expensive looking style.
Thanks for sharing! I was one of the people who left a message with this video suggestion - thanks for appeasing my curiosity and sharing those old photos!
When you talked about the minimalist scandi bloggers and their all black clothes, no patterns or anything, I just looked at all the black clothes on my clothes horse and laughed... If the shoe fits! (I'm Danish btw and NEVER wear colour)
You had the Loewe Puzzle bag in one of the outfits and I think I was already subscribed to you when you got it ^^ Jenn Im did a video where she styled some of her old pieces of clothing, I'd love to see your take on that :)
it would be fab if you could do an update on this now. i feel like this is when i started watching your videos and reading your blog and there has been a change in your style so it would be really interesting!
Hello Liz! I’m coming from the future and can easily tell that A LOT has been changed about your looks and style overall, and you should have seen my face when I saw your brunette self with those clothings as well! Haha you look even younger now in 2020, ps love you
I loved this! Seeing what you'd wear when you were 18/19 is crazy! In 2010 I was 12 years old, so god knows what the hell id have been wearing hahaha 😂😂xx
Lizzy, I hope you see this, I'm just wondering how tall you are when you're wearing heals? You look so confident wearing them and I know you're already naturally a tall women, I am too (5"11) and I want to wear platform/healed shoes but I just feel too ridiculously tall that I end up chickening out and wearing sneakers. How do you feel so confident? Much love as always! ❤️

Loved the scandi-phase and the victoria beckham inspired outfits! Great video.

Watching your videos over the past year or so has had a big influence on me - pushing me out of my comfort zone and standard uniform and I'm so much happier with my style thank you!

The most flawless evolution of personal style that I've ever seen.

I loved watching this and seeing how your style changed from when you were 17! I absolutely adore your style 💕
In 1964 I wore my brother's faded jeans. I was thrown out of the lecture at College. !!
Pam Jordan love that!
I bet you felt great!
they weren't ready to know the future! :D Good on ya ;)
also so odd that just wearing jeans can be seen as so outlandish!
I just love your style so much!!
This is such a great video Lizzy, love the natural evolution of your stye, which to begin with was more on the side of classic minimalist even back in the AA disco pants craze.

How did you afford such pricey stuff??!! Particularly as a student?! xx
I was wondering this too!
I think she comes from a "richer" backround
Evi Ozyra probably but if she has any secret tip to buying designer clothes for less, I would love to know!
Lucy Jones That's what I want to know too! Haha
Lucy Jones maybe her parents has more money than ours. Which is a fact of life. You obviously can't express yourself the same way when money isn't there, you have to be a million times more creative and can't really sport that sleek expensive looking style.

You look so confident wearing them and I know you're already naturally a tall women, I am too (5"11) and I want to wear platform/healed shoes but I just feel too ridiculously tall that I end up chickening out and wearing sneakers.
