I just found Lawrence last week when I watched a video called "I Need You" with Jon Batiste - th-cam.com/video/h0Ljr7vJk4M/w-d-xo.html which has Gracie soaring vocally. She rocks. Also their charting single, "Don't Lose Sight" - if you're looking for her to go to church this is it. - th-cam.com/video/C01nBm6vV5c/w-d-xo.html One of the reason's the expected "why haven't them" is they have gone the independent route. They are wonderful. I've listened to a lot of new music over the pandemic years and the one vocalist I'm really high on is Floor Jansen, if no other reason than she is a master of instrument. She has recently been working on a new album where she's been releasing singles over the past few months. You could find 'music videos' but really the real joy is listening to her sing them live. So much more organic than a music video. She has a channel where a lot of her live music can be found but here is the newest release in a live setting - Storm - th-cam.com/video/8dAP8Mjgh_E/w-d-xo.html (funny antidote. You know how people say "X can sing the phonebook" Well there is a video of Floor actually singing a phonebook that was presented to her at one of her performances.) Although I suspect you would be familiar with PostModern Jukebox, and perhaps a video featuring Haley Reinhart singing "Creep" - if not I think you'd like that too. She does a lot in this performance (A one camera one take video). Also on your Diana Ankudinova video I suggested the video "The Crow" as the video to react to th-cam.com/video/1AT7SZDDHo8/w-d-xo.html Regards,
This is a very restrained performance for Gracie. For me, it was actually a new revelation that she was so good at the delicate parts, since she usually blasts.
I've been to a fair share of concerts but Lawrence had to be my favourite! I love Clyde's voice but the fact that Gracie keeps up her energy/vocals for the entire set still amazes me. She is literally a ball of energy haha. I've never seen anything like it.
Have you reacted to their new song yet? I tried to search it, but couldn't find it... it's called "I'm Confident that I'm Insecure".. Gracie's singing is amazing, as always, but the lyrics and harmonies are also sick.. I love how you broke this song down and would love to see you do the same on the "acoustic-ish" version of "I'm Confident that I'm Insecure". P.S. I read somewhere recently that Clyde was the youngest person in the songwriter's guild. I think he was under 10.
@@SoundCheckStudios I don't know if it's an algo thing, but I can't find any other reactions to them..All their Acoustic-ish songs are amazing...and if you want to focus more on a Clyde-centric song..."Guy I used to be" acoustic-ish is a must! Please please and thanks! 🙏🏼🙏🏼✌🏼
@@nfamusRyno Definitely an issue with your algorithm. Lawrence have a ton of good reactions. The Charlie Smith Channel is excellent (Here's one: th-cam.com/video/ihc6y_aRRzQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GLeoekMgI-3DCOul) That Singer has an awesome one to Dont Lose Sight (th-cam.com/video/gVffXo-419c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L2OBm7y1wq4WuLdh). Shadow Aetenum has some really excellent ones. He's probably my favorite because how much he loves the music (th-cam.com/video/g4PR3nsX8yY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wfd46Y9pQ9u6pxxk).
I can't wait to see them live. I also wish they were signed to a different label Bellion isn't doing anything for them. But her vocals are crazy and is doing things vocally no one can. Also, how the heck did you get two (3 cuz Linus can play, too) musical geniuses in one family. 😊
@davevannoy664 it's relatively an unknown label, but I think they get to own their own music which is huge for them and Bellion. That's why he started his own company cuz like T Swift lost music he had written and recorded. So I understand why, I just wish there was more of a push for them
If you think this is good/great....try to catch the band LIVE sometime......jaw dropping good and will leave you exhausted at the end of the night!! Thanks much for the great review!!
you're right i love lawrence. almost as much as my favourite australian artist katie noonan, can you please react to her singing my baby just cares for me from the tv show rockwiz, sublime.
So, I'm fairly new to Lawrence, and I do love Grace's gospel vocals. In this video you mentioned how you consider her one of the best vocalists you've heard and I can't disagree. But I'm sure will also agree the when it comes to musical and personal preference, it comes down to being subjective to the ear of the beholder. With that said, and I checked your video history, I see there is one vocalist you have not covered. I admire this vocalist because of their mastery of their instrument, where their live performances rivals (or imo are preferred to) their studio work. And I'm hoping that this will be a first time listen to them because you can only have that once in your life. Whether you want to react to this or just listen, (and I'm not saying this is their most popular though it was my first - certainly its not the most reacted to performance, which is contained in a 10+ min video). Gosh I'm really hoping you are totally unfamiliar with this artist and wish I could be the fly on the wall, regardless if you like it or not. th-cam.com/video/M68pe4a_9zk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cldZOrT--vfeAZhk
You can react to the "early" Lawrence where Clyde sung nearly all songs (6-8 years ago) I personally like that period better, clearly amazing as it was full of vocals influenced by blues, R&B and gospel. Gracie is an extraordinary singer but a little too "popish" for my taste. I miss Clyde's brilliant vocals as in "So Damn Fast" or "Probably up"
You mentioned that Gracie was probably going to crazy early in the video, but the fact that The Weather is actually one of their more restrained songs and that they don’t make Gracie’s voice into their shtick is awesome too
Next steps of voice researches should be: *from clean vocal* 1. *_Danelia Tuleshova_* (from the 1-st appearance with _"Stone Cold"_ on the "Voice Children(Ukraine) 2017" and to any song she singing now). *from extreme metal vocal* 1. Screaming female vocal: *_"The S.L.O.T."_* band with *_Daria "Nuki" Stavrovich_* ( _"Ripples on the Water"_ , "LEGO", "The Anger stage"/"Стадия гнева"); 2. Growling/screaming female vocal: *_"Jinjer"_* band ("Piesces", _"Teacher,Teacher"_ , "Perennial").
Let me know what you want us to react to next!! 🌈

I love this track so much. So lucky to have watched them in London.
please do their dont lose sight (acoustic) video - my fav thing theyve done
I think my favorite part is right after you exit the video. She says that was their sad song and it’s just the cutest how she says it.
Lawrence are phenomenal
They are phenomenal

Gracie and Clyde are from New York, I think, but you're right that it's hard to tell that from Gracie's voice.
I love that you did this Lawrence song. Two suggestions - Vulfpeck and Cory Wong (who is a guitarist for Vulfpeck but he has his own touring band)
One of my favorite bands. I just love them ❤ Thanks for that beautiful tribute and share !
Please do more reactions to Lawrence
I SAID PLEASE!!
I CAN DO THAT!!!

I love that I have stumbled to that part of the internet where we see more and more people discovering @lawrencetheband Like I did a year ago…..
