I find it funny that people say that in a "negative" light... Like, dont you guys see that, both in games an real intercourse, the top, despite taking "control" of the situation, is the one fully dependent on the validation of the bottom? Think about it, while top has to do all the heavy lifting to make everything work, bottom just enjoys the moment and watching top trying his/her best to convince them that they are good enough to do it again... At the end, as much as tops think of themself as the one with power and control, they will go nowhere without a bottom giving them their "thumbs up".

honestly i am perfectly fine with not having role queue. i think that we, the community, need to adjust our mindset when it comes to picking roles. flexing will be a valuable skill in this game that can be the difference between winning and losing; if you don’t have that skill, or are simply unwilling, you will lose. that’s how it is. once we get past that i think open queue is a ton of fun actually

I'm personally having a lot more fun playing marvel rivals than I am overwatch right now. There are less annoying things to play against compared to overwatch. Only hero I really don't like playing against is iron man.
Against Iron man you just have to hope and pray that if you have a hela they have good aim or that we'll honestly any of your teammates have good aim otherwise it's raps
Hela, punisher, and scarlet witch are really good counters to iron man. Hela and punisher for obvious reasons (high hitscan damage) but scarlet witch can use her movement ability to fly up to iron man and because she barely has to aim, she can just destroy him while he has to carefully aim his rockets
people actually willingly go 2-2-2 in thjs game, and its not just sweat lobbies. people genuinely like to play tank in this game, and kind of like support. if not that, people go at least 1 of each role. this makes me think the problem of overwatch pre-role lock where people go 4-5dps per game was a symptom of a lack of hero variety in roles. most of the playable characters being dps really fucked the game in an unimaginable way. role lock eventually destroyed queue times and team comp variety as well as general player freedom. this game will be a good experiment to see if having an equal number of tank/dps/supp would have helped overwatch durinf that time. not sure about high rank, but me and my friends played casually a lot. we loved i overwatch 2018-2019, but people insta locking dps every game was so persistent that it became extremely frustrating. and it sucks that it happened because the devs didn’t have the foresight of just making one dps role rather than splitting it (although i wonder if the defense role could have been its own thing)
Sorry but this is pure copium. More tank and supports would help get more players in those roles of course but nearly enough to fix the actual issue being that most people will always want to play DPS and not Tank. This is how it is in EVERY game with the trinity role system of Tank/Healer/DPS be it MMO, FPS, whatever. It's just basic player psychology. Most people want to be making flashy plays and not be the team's punching bag who gets hit with every debuff and CC and focus fire known to man the entire round.

Tanks when done well feel like playing a miniboss character, an unstopabble force that needs the entire Focus of the enemy to bring them down. Marvel Rivals as managed to make both Tanks and Support to feel as impactful and enjoyable as DPS, and if the balance stays right, players will keep playing all roles without the need to be forced to take it.

And tanks are most of the same, they are not only bullet sponges, but can also rack up kills and do bery flashy plays in good hands, venom (though OP and needs a nerf) and Thor are good examples of it, both are offensive tanks with complete different kits and playstyles but both can end up games being the highest dmg dealers in their team, Dr Strange, aside from tanking, has one of the most gamechanging utility/support skills, his TP, and even Penny can be more than just a traditional tank when she starts building a spider nest with mines and webs, remembering me on how it feels to play engineer in Tf2, playing around her buildings in a defensive way to make a stronghold around the objective, big etc...

I have been playing this nonstop. It is so much fun. Unlocked a bunch of skins for free. Come 2025 blizzard needs to adjust the cash shop or people will swap over for sure.
The only thing i dont like is the dva voice the announcer has, I love they made it third person, so skins and character animations actually are more impressive. I am not as fond of the art style.
Exactly as I felt about Paladins, it seems really fun and I can see myself playing it long-term but the only problem is that I have a hard time enjoying most games solo and I feel like I'll have a hard time convincing any of my friends to play Paladins/Marvel Rivals for more than a fun night. I just wanna address the comment i saw in her chat that said titanfall 2 is the better TF2 that is just objectively wrong titanfall2 is basically dead sitting at around 2k concurrent players and i love titanfall but team fortress 2 has an average of 80,000 concurrent players team fortress 2 is almost 18 years old and still is one of the highest played fps games in the category titanfall 2 was fun but it just didnt have the staying power the replay ability that team fortress 2 had, they completely changed the hero shooter genre almost every hero shooter to come out after wards paladins overwatch marvel rivals has some of the foundational ground work that Team fortress had invented and pioneered its sad to see people compare these two great games when i believe they are good for completely different reasons and can be enjoyed as such. that is my TED Talk on TF2 thank you if you are reading

Id say a bit of both every char is broken in there own way but some aka the 1 and 2 star difficulty chars are way easier to bring out the brokenness of which is expected considering there 1 and 2 star difficulty so star lord or hela punisher all them destroy low rank and its pretty unbalanced but when everybody knows how to bring out the opness of there char in higher ranks it's balanced

I just wanna address the comment i saw in her chat that said titanfall 2 is the better TF2 that is just objectively wrong titanfall2 is basically dead sitting at around 2k concurrent players and i love titanfall but team fortress 2 has an average of 80,000 concurrent players team fortress 2 is almost 18 years old and still is one of the highest played fps games in the category titanfall 2 was fun but it just didnt have the staying power the replay ability that team fortress 2 had, they completely changed the hero shooter genre almost every hero shooter to come out after wards paladins overwatch marvel rivals has some of the foundational ground work that Team fortress had invented and pioneered its sad to see people compare these two great games when i believe they are good for completely different reasons and can be enjoyed as such. that is my TED Talk on TF2 thank you if you are reading

It's not really much like Overwatch. It's more like Paladins x Smite.
The biggest issue is that this game has no sauce. Like I do not get the feeling I did when seeing a Pharah Alt or a getting decimated by a Reaper Alt

Quick play opponents in this game are just awful. Ranked is where the game starts, thankfully it’s in the beta and you unlock it at level 5
Personally I don’t like the third person camera of this game, thats the real kicker stopping me from wanting marvel rivals

is this an unbalanced hell o a balanced hell, heroes seem extremely OP and mobile
Id say a bit of both every char is broken in there own way but some aka the 1 and 2 star difficulty chars are way easier to bring out the brokenness of which is expected considering there 1 and 2 star difficulty so star lord or hela punisher all them destroy low rank and its pretty unbalanced but when everybody knows how to bring out the opness of there char in higher ranks it's balanced

A real take finally. It's fun because it's new, it shamefully copies OW, but it ain't got any 'Blizzard polish'. Hitting things in general feels so un-impactful and moving around in general doesn't feel good. Lots of lights though. Also note: First time playing and you're better than Flats, Emongg, Jay3, who've been playing together for a while now...

I seriously don't see this game succeeding. Almost everyone that plays it only plays it because they are competitive OverWatch players who hate the direction OverWatch has gone and as soon as they realize that NetEase has no intention of balancing this game in any capacity they will be leaving. Also open queue sucks.
