He does work as you describe, however synchronizing the group of cows, AIing them, then leaving him with them to naturally mate them results in excellent welfare outcomes. They calve in a much tighter window allowing us to assist them when required. (Watch my video “you’ve got to be Joaquin” for a better explanation.) Most cows are naturally mated, what we did here is purely for the benefit of the herd! That is what this channel is about, helping folks understand the real world of caring for livestock. Cheers!
