Thank you for this video. I was at my wits end trying to unscrew the filter knob - and had actually given up and bought a brand new washing machine. I decided to go on TH-cam and when I saw your video I couldn’t believe how easily you unscrewed the knob . Bingo ! I was able to unscrew mine 😊😊 The filter was full of nasties - but after a thorough clean - my old machine was brought back to life 😍 I had been trying to unscrew the outer rim of the filter cap 😫 Thank you for your video - it literally saved me hundreds of dollars on the new machine ( which I returned - still in its delivery box)
Seriously- I can only get a baking sheet underneath and it still gets everywhere. I might put my washer and dryer on 2x4 stand to get it off the ground
hi,,, at the beginning of this video, as the owner draining the water, you see on the right side of the host, there is "RED CLIP", may i know what is that for???? I accidenly pushed that clip into the machine and can't take it out anymore,,,, does it cause problem to the machine ??????
you're not going to believe what you'll have to do to access it. there are lots of videos out there that show you how to access the filter but it requires removing the back panel in order to remove the top panel, then removing the front door panel in order to access the filter. it incenses me to think that i need a repair person or need to disassemble why washing machine to get to a filter that traps things that, even with reasonable use, can get clogged and gunked up. i will make sure my next washing machine has easy access to this, which shouldve been designed to be accessible in the first place. here's one of those videos. different model but same process: th-cam.com/video/53dE7sLBgNE/w-d-xo.html
I’m glad he’s not cleaning my filter. I put a towel down to soak up excess water. I also have a shallow tray to put under the spout the water is draining from. Wipe out inside the cavity where the filter sits too as it accumulates dirt.
The manual quite clearly says to REMOVE that door...that way you can get a cookie sheet or shallow pan under it to catch the water. The manual has a pictogram for this but no words. I could break it off, but I don't see how. PUT THAT PART IN YOUR VIDEO, PLEASE.

This music makes me want to pursue my dreams
how did you get yours to turn after you drained all the water? mine seems to be locked
I had to use a wrench because it was soo tight theirs is brand new that’s why it looks easy
For those who cannot open the filter, use a pliers to turn around the filter.
wait, you're supposed to let the stinky water go everywhere?!!?!?!?!?
Your supposed to remove the door and put something under it to catch it. Damned if I can figure out how to remove the door without breaking it!
It does pull off.

Any advice on how to drain the water without it spilling all over the floor.
