This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. I was wondering why the marines were faring so poorly, then I realized they had no upgrades.
Marines ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED all the heroes even with 1/1!
Except Dehaka. Naturally.

Man, the gap between the new heroes and old heroes are like night and day. Poor Raynor never stood a chance.
Raynor and Swann were campaign units tho, not coop units. Its different
@@alejandronieto4212 But even later campaign heroes like Stukov, Alarak, and Artanis are significantly more powerful than the WoL heroes. Power creep just kept scaling things until you get stuff like Dehaka in Co-op
Wol heroes were supposed to be complemented with other units, they are not supposed to deal with big enemies or ton of them in comparison to alarak, kerrigan, artanis and coop heroes that can easly clean waves of enemies and big ones
they upped the ante of the plot, and the amount of enemies you face with those heroes, plus the WOL heroes are just really experienced humans with custom gear, unlike a superpsionic perfect lfeform, the hierarch of a super advanced psioic species that still focuses on combat merits or flatout a everevolving super dinosaur.
Plus coop's dificukty scale justs exists above everything else

I would actually argue that Stukov isn't stronger than the WoL heroes since his entire kit is a single target nuke, spawning some fodder, and a heal over time that's fairly slow. He's basically if sniper Raynor got Burning Betty, except weaker than that theoretical combo. Everyone else however is ridiculous compared to WoL heroes.
When one Alarak took all life essence to himself from another two Alaraks I thought that it really fits his character

I think a fair amount of broodlords could kill them.
Using air units prevent him from using Scorching Breath and his anti-air attack is single target.
A high armor + high dps air unit could have a chance
Whenever you see "Which of these hero trios can defeat X", you know that Talandar praetor suit and Dehaka will just stomp everything.
I was hoping Jimmy would make it through when i saw it was the Belly of the Beast Jimmy. Hell, there's even an achievment in WoL where you need to kill 50 enemies with a single shot of Jimmy. Sadly the marines weren't lined up properly.
Nah Jimmy stood 0 chance because even if they each got like 50 kill per shot remaining 50 still easily kill meager 200 hp hero
The real reason we haven't had a: "what does it take to beat 3 Dehakas" is that Tya has been trying and failing to find armies that can take them down
@@falsnamae3511 nah muta hoard would have to be outrageously large to get through the armor+regen of dehaka unless the have the anti-armor upgrade from campaign banshees or one of their variants have better odds at more reasonable numbers

I know when a non-hero unit dies, the hero unit of the same type would get the Avenging Protocol buff, does it also work with other hero units dying?
@@Cyberium when a non-hero unit dies, the hero unit gets a stack of a buff, when the hero unit transfers to a new shell, it gets a bigger buff.
For example, kaldalis gets +15% move speed and +30% attack speed per dead zealot and +25% move speed and +50% attack speed when he moves to a new shell. Capped to +100% move speed and +200% attack speed. P3 doubles the bonuses/cap.
Seems all heroes get +25%/+50% when moving to a new shell.
As for unit deaths scout - 15/30, colossus - 30/60, adept 10/20, immortal 20/40, carrier is also 30/60. Which feels like +5/+10% per supply of the unit.
@@dimitarlinov2393 But in this scenario, all three of them are heroic, so there are no non-hero dying and no hosts to transfer, how does it calculate?
Kaldalis and Tychus actually performing favorably brings a warmth of happiness in my tumtum. Such beautiful moments. For others like Zeratul and Raynor though, they'd perform better against small groups of stronger units probably.
I love how the Alaraks keep sacrificing each other in these battles

Hope to see coop version of Kerrigan for once (was my main when SC2 still worked without crushing for me), or Tychus' gang. They deserve to shine for once.
Speaking about Kerrigan, try to use her mutas (fully upgraded), they're extremely strong (were outright broken before the patch). Also would be cool to see Zeratul's Immortals Vs air (they have unique anti-air attack). And Han-and-Horner units, they're much different than their standard analogues (and Mira's units have unique on-death effects).
When Fenix said he can throw down with the best of them, he wasn't kidding!

Love to see an all-heroes fight. All heroes from Human VS all heroes from Zerg, then all heroes from Protoss, and then Zerg vs Protoss. Mixed units so include the unique ships. Three huge battles of rock, paper, scissors.
Im sad theres not much Kerrigan in these videos. Also, I dont think Dehaka lost a single round yet?

Yah I think it is pretty clear that power creep of later campaigns and especially the co-op heroes far out powers the WoL Belly of the Beast heroes. Also Zeratul seems out of his game facing a massive group of small units uncloaked

Kaldalis and Artanis amazed me: their splash dmg is amazing; also, i expected more of Zeratul.
I am pretty sure Zeratul can win with some micro, even when detected. The coop version of Zeratul is surprisingly tanky. And he has very interesting shield mechanic that is not described in game. And I don't think any other Protoss unit has it. His shield regenerates at absurdly high rate, and even in combat. But this regeneration stops once the entire shield is depleted. After that, Zeratul must not be damaged for some time for the shield to start regenerating again.
If Zeratul was to blink away once his shield was low, and tried to stay away out of most of the enemies until it recharges to healthy amount, he can then reenter the combat and win. Also his cleave will cooldown during that time.
Dehaka: The unloose-able
How many marines does it take to kill dehaka?
Heroes in SC1: slightly better stats.
Heroes in Wings of Liberty: great stats, custom AOE abilities, can take on capital ships.
Heroes in Legacy of the Void/Ops: Hi, Goku here, we are going to destroy those armies with the power of friendship!
Co-op heros: doing thanos snap and whole enemys disparar
When I saw 3 dahaka's walking towards them I closed my eyes and said don't let your kids watch this
