    I fly mine without GoPro attached as well. Lots of talk about how superior the video quality and how everyone prefers to have it attached but I can't seem to find much actual end video footage on youtube on it anyway that shows it being done well cinematically

    Great explanation on not to spend money on something you can not repair yourself way cheaper if fpv is your goal.

  • @Sir_Sicarius
    @Sir_Sicarius ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ordered mine for my first drone today, should be here in two days. a bit more expensive than what I wanted to spend but I’m sure it’ll also perform much better. I was gonna get something cheaper like a cineape 25 but with the Best Buy drone protection plan i could replace the whole drone for pretty cheap and not worry too much about crashing, although I would still like to avoid that if possible. Plus, from what I’ve heard, the safety features these drones have make it much easier to fly and when I get my license I can make money with something like this. But I have put 6-7 hours in liftoff already and I’m planning on getting another 10+ hours before actually flying the drone, or until I can complete a race in about two minutes without any crashes.

    I buy this drone couple of months ago.I'm a beginner. For me is that drone everything I need. Only bad thing is that you can't use all of drone power in sport mode only in manual. I'm not yet an acro pilot only speed and freestyle. But at the end the Dji really nailed it with this drone.

    I’ve learned to drive on a Lambo if you know what I mean,didn’t have a problem. In fact the reason I haven’t crashed is for the most part thanks to DJI and its safety and emergency features. Had I learned on the custom build I no doubt would have crashed at least once.

    If you are about to buy one, I would wait a few months. Drone Remote ID was just passed by the FAA and all drones will require it, so unless you want to go through that hassle, wait at least 1 month and DJI will start Producing them with Built in Remote ID so you won't have to worry about it.

      Not really sure but if the legislation will require us to register the remote, then you will have to get the drone license. You should have it now as well because there are some things to known about safety and rules of flying. It costs cca 40EUR in our country and it's an online course and exam only.

    Purchased one 4 weeks ago and what an amazing experience, guys DJI should win an award for this Drone. It's just that good. The Lambo of Drones in my opinion because it is so fast and powerful. Go watch a video here on YT entitled, "DJI FPV verse Train" and this will give you major insight into the potential of this drone. The Avata has nothing on the flying experience of the DJI FPV

    • @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens
      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@remdehair. Honestly It's hard to say. The FPV is more powerfull and it copes with the wind very well. The Avata on the other hand is very portable ;) I have the FPV and am probably not going to get the Avata. Not sure how I would feel if it was the other way around. If you're new to FPV, then get the Avata but with the controller not the motion controller.
      Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

    • @quentinlewis
      @quentinlewis ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@remdehair. My take is this, the Dji FPV is your straight out of the box and ready to fly "turn key" solutions into the world of FPV with out all of the headaches of building a drone. Guys flying a lesser drone wouldn't understand the DJI FPV simply because it's not like any of DJI's other line of drones and wasn't ever meant to be. Is equivalent to buying a car already built, versus building your own, so your FPV pilot career starts as soon as you open the box. The camera is great and does more movement than all other FPV drones. Only guys who can't color grade complain. You have to color grade most footage anyway to enhance it. Most bad reviews of this drone comes from guys who are not fpv pilots. It's easier to fly than most say. Just start in N mode, fly slow and cautiously, and you'll get better. Excellent solution to those who don't want to build their own fpv.

    I've crashed mine 3 times and I ordered the parts and repaired it myself twice. The last time I didn't have ins and I still only paid about 250 and ended up with a new drone. I did vids of each. 2 out of the 3 crashes where my fault. only one was the drones and that one I fixed (broken arm and motor)
    More than one year later and I'm flying this drone more than any of my others

    These drones are like Teslas, you crash it, it's broken. To fix it you send it off to DJI where they charge a fee to fix, take weeks to complete the repair and charge you an extremely high markup on replacement parts. These drones are great for beginners who are too lazy to learn FPV properly and just want the instant gratification of flying a high end FPV Quad, but it comes at an obscene cost...
    Its an incrediable piece of equipment and is arguably the best (transmission wise at least) FPV drone on the consumer market. I just wish DJI wasn't so scummy with their buisness practicies like most of other big tech.

      So what your saying is because we choose to not learn to build a fpv were lazy? Get off your high horse dude. Not everyone wants to spend years building one. If we can afford to pay to play why not buy one that's ready out of the box? Let folks with money enjoy their money how they want too. I got turned off from fpv BECAUSE you have to build it from scratch. Those of us with full time jobs don't have the time to be doing all that. 🤡

      No I haven't used the motion controller but it looks like a lot of fun. You are limited to SPORT mode with the controller so no ACRO flips and tricks. This is why the new AVATA comes only with it since it has some giro/turbulence problems if you fly it too aggressively.

    I had a sick crush on this model exactly coz it's a heavy toy. Im not interested in doing acrobatics/manual and I told myself that if I wouldnt fly my planes in flight simulators close to the ground then for the same logic I wouldnt the drone either, but still the fact that is so fragile makes me give up on it coz Im short on moneys and I even wanted to buy the simple motion controller with goggles but it's too damn scary.
